just got back from mommy and me gymnastics... coping with the heat, it's 99 degrees today!

We got back home late yesterday evening - yay!

The airline "misplaced" two out of three pieces of luggage - boo!

One bag of my hubby's made it home, and it was the one with his new tuxedo and dress shirts in it - yay!

My new pink bag - my only piece of luggage, which has my new dress and two new pairs of dress shoes and quite a few souvenirs in it - is still somewhere between Vancouver and home - boo!

Good luggage vibes would be appreciated!!

DC is a chilly 90F today, but they promised us 101F for Monday, with a heat index over 110F. I wish I could sneak into one of the buildings with a rooftop pool. I think that would be awesome.

We just got back from Eastern Market, a combination farmer / flea / meat (of the animal, not human, kind) market. The fruits and vegetables were lovely, and we came home with plenty for the next few days, plus organic eggs, some Norwegian blue cheese, and two different kinds of bread. I will be putting my new vacuum sealer to good use!

I realized this morning that I have no sun dress, nor can I find any of my sarongs, so the plan for this afternoon is to whip a couple of those up.

Tonight, I practice knitting. Someone actually managed to teach me!

Well, I'm thinking about making some chocolate chip cookies. (The last time I made them, three dozen were gone in 2 days. John gets the munchies whilest playing Call of Duty 4 online...haha) I'm also going to make more next week to take to the beach. :^)

Dammit, I want pie now. Preferably Eat N Park's strawberry pie... Delish!
