Good morning.

I realized this morning that this season has lasted longer than the Democratic Primary!! Which, normally wouldn't be an accomplishment. This year though. . . *G*

I'm looking forward to the McCain/Obama debates. They've already agreed to a town hall style (one of my favorite) and there are talks of a modified Lincoln/Douglas style!! I'd definitely watch that. It's going to be interesting to see if the two can *actually* change the tone and substance of the modern campaigning (as they have said they want to do)or if the system modern campaigning will eat both of them alive?

Going to be interesting to see how it plays out.

Speaking of interesting to see how it plays out - the entries keep coming in and *any* doubt people had that people were going to be able to make the deadlines while maintaining quality should be out the window by now.

umm...debates between them two...I can imagine Obama being good at it in general and McCain -- we've seen him do it before...

I just think we'll end up with McCain as our new president...(I have plans to vote for the other guy)

Well I am back on antibiotics since the infection has apparently made a return in the jaw. We'll see what is what in a week. *sigh*

Bring on the real politics! I have had my icon made (feel free to take with credit) for a while, my signs in my window, and flair on my purse. I might even volunteer, once I get my DC driver's license.

After spending a wonderful day hanging with chite, I survived the storms that ripped through the DC-metro area yesterday and last night. I will write up my adventures later, but the best [sarcasm] part was spending two hours on a Metro bus, in severe weather, stuck on I66, trying to get from one train station to the next because trees had fallen on the tracks.

Good times...

Today will be spent recovering in my apartment cleaning, doing laundry, and (what else) sewing.

It was a totally fun day, until the trip home for both of us!

The main road between the metro and my home had five downed trees blocking the road. So, I tried to go home on main roads. Of course, all of the street lights were out all along Nutley Street, Lee Highway, and Gallows Road, and no one gets the "lights out means everything is a 4-way-stop" rule around here. So it took me 2 hours to do a 15 minute trip.

Oi.

But, we had fun and Spydie made me spend money. hahaha

Also, I have electricity. Huzzah.

Thank you to everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes yesterday! I had a wonderful day, and the babysitting went really well, so well I'm doing it again today. I know I'm probably crazy!

No work today because our office is still without power, and as a videography company we *kind of* need our computers! It went out around 3:00pm yesterday with the apocalyptic storms that came through DC. I got to come home early :3!

Also, the weather *seemed* to get better in the evening, so my boyfriend drove over...we went to get dinner and got stuck in part 2! Some absolutely FANTASTIC lightning to watch as we ate Chipotle outside (under an overhang), but I wasn't too happy driving around in it. It got SO DARK, but for a while there was some GORGEOUS patches of sunlight streaking through. I need to bring my camera with me more often -- all we got were some shitty picture on my boyfriend's camera phone :(

I won't be back in my neck of the woods until late tomorrow. We're in Vancouver today, and it rained ALL DAY, except for at the top of Grosse Mountain, where it SNOWED! Yep... snow in June... who'da thunk it??

MinPin somehow got fleas. I should kick John for not cutting the grass enough, but then he'd just make me do it. :^p So MinPin got a bath and flea meds and we may have to flea-bomb the house. Oh joy of joys... *weep*

In other news... It's like 95 here today. Unfreakinbearably hot and humid. And who has me cook dinner in the oven?! *kicks boyfriend* We don't want to put the air conditioners in yet because we'll just have to take them back out in 9 days (9 DAYS TILL THE BEACH!). We want our windows LOCKED while we spend a week lying on the beach. ;)

I have been playing Super Mario Galaxy religiously the last few days. I'm up to 104 stars (out of 121), and the last few levels are a freakin bitch. I don't know how jennielynn got through them...
