Just being overly lazy today and doing a lot of reading today. I went to Barnes and Noble on Friday to get a graduation gift and ended up picking up a book for myself as well. So, now I am trying to finish my current read so I can start the new book.

I am icky-sick today, after such a great day yesterday. That probably accounts for my less-than-stellar mood last night. Of course, it being a holiday weekend, I won't even get to see my doctor for a couple more days. I have the white stripes of the not-rocking-kind in my throat.

In other news, we finally saw Iron Man and quite enjoyed it. Also managed to wander the sculpture garden at one of the museums down at the Mall, before the bikers got to town.

I am making the meatballs n_decisive taught me (I figure the garlic and broth will help), and trying not to cough on anything important.

I'm in the full-on throes of 5yr old birthday party set up.
I've mowed the front yard and the huge back yard.
I've inflated the pool and filled it with water.
I've blown up about 50 balloons to be tied to the fence line and man do I have a headache from it.
I've picked up the cake, wrapped the presents, and made the kool aid.


I'm exhausted and the party hasn't even started yet!

Dealing with a cranky, testy, winy, cold-infested three and a half year old.

Having a good weekend so far. Went to see Indie yesterday and it was fun! Today we took a ride to the fleamarket in VT. Didn't buy anything but it's always fun to walk around. Now I'm sitting outside by the pool. It's absolutely gorgeous out!

It is actually raining here which can happen but it is unusual for this time of year. The air is pretty crappy so at least I will be able to breathe better after this for a little while.
