I do know that the deadline is today so get those entries in if you haven't!  (Yes, I still need to figure out who we're waiting for, too.)

I only have 7 more working days left in this job.  Hooray!  (the real job, not the LJI job...)

Hmm.  I think that's all I have today.

Well, Spydie will be heading over to Chez Kizzy after she visits with norda. She's staying the night, so today will be a flurry of cleaning/laundry/cooking. It's been so long since anyone's visited!

Oh, and for those of you not on my FL, I stepped down from my assistant manager position. I'm not losing very much $ from it, which is good. I can't take the pressure right now.

Good morning!

I've got a work day today but it is more of a 1/2 day, as my babysitter is working double this week (since my other babysitter's husband is in the hospital). Whew.

So this morning is for mama/baby, and we are currently watching Signing Time and drinking our milk and coffee respectively. :-)

Now to go read entries since mine are finally both in! Yay!

It's new hire orientation day so that should keep me busy. For lunch I am going to hit the Farmers Market and hopefully take a nice walk around downtown as it looks like it's going to be a nice day.

Not much going on here today. Just work and me being really tired. My step dad is having heart surgery today, tripple bipass and a valve replacement. Ricky still has his rash, and other than all that, not much. Hope everyone is having a good Thursday.

I took a nap this morning For No Good Reason™; I had a vivid dream involving a friend's baby that I haven't seen since before Christmas. There are 5 more days left of getting up at 6:30. On Tigger's last day of school, he needs to be at school an hour later than usual.

Instead of napping, I should be: calling around about venues for the anniversary party on May 31; prepping for the AWP May 23-26; collecting the rest of the stuff I'm selling in a yard sale Saturday; processing mail; reorganizing the cabinets in the bathroom; baking brownies to give away at the yard sale; updating the mugsheet for Life Group; and more stuff I'm forgetting.

So I started taking the bus to work instead of the Metro...I'm saving $6 a day, which is HUGE!! I don't know why it didn't occur to me to do that earlier. Unfortunately I have to leave my house earlier because of the bus schedule :( Lame!

$30.00 a week that's huge. When I worked in NYC I used to skip the one mile subway ride each way and set the savings aside and buy something nice with it. Even if it was a gift for someone else it was nice to see the concrete results of my frugality.

That's right sorry I keep forgeting that you are my daughter's age. I'm familiar with the budget issues. It seems that even with the group contributing to gas, they have reduced their trips to Walmart to once a week.

I took the bus instead of the Metro for YEARS. The best part was that the bus came closer to my apartment and dropped me off closer to work. And I saved tons of $$

Just got back home about 30 mins ago with my hubby, who had Lasik surgery done - whee! He's napping right now with his goggles on. Starmaiden will be administering his drops for him in about 2-1/2 more hours since I need to run an errand then go in to work this afternoon for a few hours. Whee! =)

Also, the stove looks to be back in place, the dishwasher appears to be installed, and Johnny (our home improvement guy) is cutting out the space in the new countertop to install the sink - w00t!

This was a long day.

Left home at 9 this morning to go to a food demo. Had lunch that was prepared by the cheff doing the demo. Very tasty and wished I could bring him home just to cook for me. Grin!

Then did a bunch of running around doing things for a fund raiser I am in charge of. Thank goodness it will all be over tomorrow night. For better or worse. PHEW!

Spring left us. It was 75 two days ago and today it was 98. I don't mind that myself but the body sure does need to adjust. So very tired from the weather. It is going to hang around for a few days so I'll have time to adjust. Everyone else in town is complaining bitterly.

Must sleep. Friday gives no rest for this gal.
