Morning everyone.

What am I doing?

1. Cleaning out my kitchen because the building decided that tomorrow, the day before I go for a week-long trip, was a good day to do a building-wide insect treatment. I have to completely empty the kitchen (including cabinets), both bathrooms, and move most of my furniture to the centers of the rooms. It is SO not going to happen that way. I will do the kitchen, and the baths, but after that??

2. Printing maps for my road trip, making sure I have directions to all my stops, and confirming contact info for anyone I need to get in touch with along the way.

3. Accepting a grocery order - yeah, I love that part of living here.

4. Writing! I have ideas! Thank you, lovely people who made me blush last night.

5. Try not to bounce too much as I think about all the wonderful people I will be seeing in just a few short days!!

Taking Critter to the diagnostic center for a CT scan today. He's had a painful abdomen for a week now; I hope today's test gives us information to work on.

I'm trying to decide what to bring with me. Probably my No Stones homework, since I never sat down to work on it last week.

Today is more training of the new assistant and more cleanup of my desk. Also, my boss said she would email the announcement this morning so I can stop walking on eggshells wondering if scuttlebutt has taken word around the office.

Also, Sandy and I want to plan my going away party, damn it.

Other than that, today is about taking it easy and letting my body deal with all the trauma it went through yesterday.

Overall I don't feel too bad. It is just hard to eat and drink.

It's back to the Manna Reading Center for me. :)

This time, though I'm meeting a friend there, and I may well come home with a new statue, we'll see. One of the employees said they'd gotten all their new statuery in and were inventorying it last week, so it should all be out this one; I can't wait!

I'm not dead... really... and I shouldn't even really be posting in here. Since I have to fight with websense to make comments. Reading LJ and posting in my journal is easy, but when making comments, it's a websense battle.

I am here though and those of you on my Flist are aware of how happy I am and Gary because he asked specifically knows why.

I got reminded of that happiness about 45 minutes ago by a random phone call too. This thing is just... so amazing. I'm beside myself.

Well, my day is going to consist of going down to the unemployment office and seeing if they can find me a job. I already called in my claim 2 weeks (or thereabouts) ago, so hopefully I should be getting a check from them soon. I'm currently looking for something that I can work 3 weeks at and then quit or work 3 weeks and then get a week's vacation.

Am also going to go out and see my parents this week sometime and ask for a loan. I am so out of money it isn't even funny. I literally have $25 to my name right now. GAH. And I haven't even been spending it on grap, either...

Frankly, I just want to go back to bed...

Oh, and I got axed from someone's friends list. I wasn't sad or happy... Just shocked. But hey, people change...

Good luck! I'm getting close to that amount myself ($38 in my savings account, some other stuff here and there) and am extremely happy I'm living with my parents this summer and have a good job. I hope things start looking up real soon! *hug*

So that baby bird I mentioned...right after I posted that comment I went to check on him one more time before I left for work, and it looks like he had had a stroke trying to escape the box we had him in. I held him in my hand for about 5 minutes before he died, watching him twitch and make small sad noises.

Anyone who read my entry about Buddy, or knows how much I love and cherish birds, should know how terribly this upsets me.

To make it worse, my mom (understandably) wants to tell my sister he was fine and we let him go. She's possibly suicidal and we don't want to set her off ... I think I'm going to have to lock myself in my room all night because if I talk to her I'm afraid I'll start tearing up. God...
