A blurry eyed hello to all of you!

I'm pretty sure that I was abducted by aliens this morning. Why? Because I KNOW that I woke up a few minutes after 5. I sat down, I ate, then I took a shower. When I came out and looked at the clock it was almost 7.

So I've obviously lost track of time somewhere. I'd blame senility, but I never really had many marbles to begin with, so I'm going with the aliens theory. Or a wizard did it.

Either way, I'm running late for work! Eep!

So hi-ho hi-ho. (and no, before you ask, I'm not calling you "hos".*g*)

I KNOW it's someone's birthday today. But I didn't have the chance to check my list. In fact, I could swear that two Idol regulars are having birthdays today. Let me know who you are and I'll edit this post!

I wrote one but haven't posted it yet. I wanted to tweak it a little bit yesterday but then decided I wasn't sure if I liked it or not.

I just want to state for the record that it's extremely difficult to see what you're typing when your eyes are goopy. The number of typing errors on my soon-to-be-final-draft-for-this-week were astronomical. I'm ashamed.

A good friend of mine told me tonight that I've changed in ways they don't like, and that they aren't going to put up with it anymore.

OK, I just got a call from the doctor's. They want me in there at 11:40. So I called worked and told them I'd get there afterward unless I've been declared too contagious.

For those of you wondering, I've had a nasty case of pinkeye this week that hasn't gone away nor gotten better with prescription ointment. It's starting to spread to my other eye. When I told the doc it hurts rather than itch, that 's when they told me to come in.

I apologize for whining. I just want to curl into a ball. Don't mind me *goes to the corner and curls up*

Today's the first day that really feels like spring to me here. It'd be a good day to blow off work and go have a picnic in Central Park, but y'know, all those stupid responsibilities and what not.

Potential Baby Update

So I got the results - no baby, but it looked like I'd miscarried early on. While this is saddening, it does mean that the other thing going on medically with me can go ahead.

I have my first appointment with my surgeon on May 9th. What type of surgery? Gastric bypass. If things work out time/commitment-wise, I could be under 200 lbs by Christmas - something I've been over since I was 13 (27 now). So yeah, excited!

Sad about the baby, but awesome about the bypass. My mom did it, and while she kind of got lazy after a while, it still helped her out immensely.

Plus you can get down to your ideal weight and then actually plan for a pregnancy. It will be much easier on you then.

Came into work this morning and *a lot* of temps were gone. Then people kept being called into meetings, and not coming back to their desks.

So when they announced that there was a meeting at 1, I was dreading it.

It turns out it was a meeting for the survivors! Whew... I feel horrible for some of my friends who didn't make the cut. But relieved for me.

I have a feeling that a couple people will be going every week, until there is only one person left in the office. Oh wait, that's online...
