Production Camp
Oct. 29th, 2020 07:48 am The first part of the Tribal Council has been posted for the members of the Asaga tribe. https://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1072602.html
Due to some technical issues, we were unable to finish shooting the line of questioning last night. (the tags weren't quite working right and it completely messed up the formatting to the point that half of the post was invisible. I'd get to the end of the tagging with everything fine, and the last one would make me restart all over again) DW is close to LJ, but enough different that it's developed it's own "unique traits" that need to be figured out over time. By the time I do, it will be time to go back to LJ again! :)
There are 3 sections of main questioning, with follow up. I *think* I have a solution and I'm going to try it as I add sections. BUT if that doesn't work, then any mass questioning (at Tribal or at the mat) will not have tags. I hope people will just look for their names, now that we've established the format.
***NOTE - I added the extra sections, but that fix didn't work. I'm still going to look for a solution. But for now, just look for your name! :) ****
Speaking of Tribal Council - just as a reminder to respect the sanctity of that space. It is for the tribe who lost the challenge. Any comments from the other Tribe - or viewers - will be deleted. (per mentioned in the preseason FAQs)

Of course it's fine for anyone to comment on Production Camp posts or any non-Tribal council one. Those are just special.
For those wondering - the voting will occur at the end of the Tribal Council. I will give people time to answer - and then let them know when it's time to vote. Usually the following day, but in this case - since I posted the first ones last night, it will be later this evening. We don't have the luxury of doing this in "real time" so I want to give people to time and space to really get into the process.
I will be giving more instructions, when the time comes.

Date: 2020-10-29 12:02 pm (UTC)Sorry for commenting where I shouldn’t have. I must have missed that in the FAQs (though it makes sense based on how tribal councils work on the show), so I was assuming it was like an LJI results post. *wanders off to reread the FAQ*

Date: 2020-10-29 06:51 pm (UTC)It makes sense, from a "mood" perspective, but I hadn't realized that it was tribe-only either.

Date: 2020-10-29 10:38 pm (UTC)On a personal note, I think the Tribal Council conversations should be private. After all, in the real Survivor the other team(s) don't attend them. Just saying.

Date: 2020-10-29 11:15 pm (UTC)It was a consideration. But to do that, it would have to be held in a different, private community. I'd need one for both tribes. And then, unlike Survivor, the audience wouldn't be able to watch.
So I'm settling for the compromise that there are times when the other tribe IS able to sit and watch a tribal council. Watch, but not participate.

My Kindle is clearly possessed by auto-correct! I have no idea what the last two words of the first para were supposed to be. LOL

Date: 2020-10-29 06:25 pm (UTC)I had everyone send me their list of tribe rankings. (all but 1 of you did. For that one, as I said would happen, their tribe captain picked for them)
The two contestants with the best scores were selected as "Captain." One for Luzon. One for Asaga.
Luzon's Captain picked first.
Then Asaga's Captain.
Then it was the turn of the Luzon's newest member. Their top available choice joined Luzon.
Same with Asaga.
It kept going down the list of available choices, until only wolfden remained.
It's a ladder pick system. (instead of a snake draft where someone who get two picks in a row. IMO that's overkill in a two tribe system)

Date: 2020-10-30 03:00 pm (UTC)Yeah, I was kind of flummoxed by the Tribal Council thread too. I had to reread it twice before realizing that oh, the rest of us aren't supposed to participate in those.
It's doing thst FOUR LETTER DREADED WORD out there right now. This isn't right. We ever get THAT FOUR LETTER DREADED WORD until Thanksgiving at the very earliest. We still haven't taken the A/Cs out of the windows yet!

Date: 2020-10-31 12:15 am (UTC)Jenwithapen you've been through the wringer this week. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your cousin in this trying time. I wish you both the very best and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I hope to see you back in the "race" once your cousin is fully recovered.
Such a hard week!
(Hope it's okay to post this here, Gary.)
