Last night, we had the results of our FINALE!! Only to find out, due to yet another tie in this mini season of ties, it was just the first stage in the finale. https://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1066088.html

I also confirmed via email with those handling Kate's memorial that not only is it OK to have the Kathrynrose Spirit of Idol award - but that next season there WILL be a prize for the recipient, that they will be donating.

It makes me wish we had been in a place to set something up for Siggy after Luna died. Which is kind of the opposite of what I'm talking about... but that's how my brain is working right now.

Anyway, this has been a rough mini season emotionally. I'm going to celebrate the winner and get started on the next full season - but in between I'm definitely going to try my best to get some rest in there as well! :)

I think that's a wonderful tribute to Kate!

It has been a season of write-offs! I hadn't thought about it that way. Thank goodness I haven't been faced with that particular kind of pressure!! I'm thinking of our two writers right now!

You do deserve the R&R, G. If the next season is going back to LiveJournal I better get over there and do some housecleaning. Eep!

This has been an unusually competitive season, with one more (I hope) write-off to go. It is fitting that the Finale ended in a tie.

The Kathrynrose Spirit of Idol award is a wonderful way to honor her; I'm glad that you received permission.

That's so wonderful, and I think it's a beautiful way to keep her in the spirit of Idol.

But I'm sad that you're going back to LJ. I can't play next season. :( Maybe there will be another chance here again, though! I've really enjoyed getting to meet and know everyone.

Go rest a little. You deserve it.

There are people who refuse to come to DW. LJ is their home. I promised them that I would come back. Just like I promised people - including kathrynrose - that I would do a mini season over here. So I need to honor that.

That said - I'm telling you now, in case you missed me saying it before - I'm planning on coming back to DW after the next season.

Not permanent. We may bounce back and forth until a third option can be found. But I don't want to leave anyone out of the experience.

Oh, I understand. Idol started on LJ, that's what people expect, and I won't deny it. I'm very glad you did come here for a short (well, kind of short!) season, and I am glad you are returning to DW in the future. You're just trying to give me reasons to hang around and live so I can play and then you can kick me out, right? That MUST be it! ;)

But I understand honoring a promise. I did miss the "coming back to DW" post, so thank you for letting me know. It's good to include everyone, and I really appreciate that. I will miss having this as something to do/read/look forward to/make new friends with, but I'm guessing some people will stay in touch and come back next season as well!
