Happy Fountain Pen Day to you! Apparently there are a lot of sales today! Somehow I don't think this event is quite as popular as Free Comic Book Day, but I could be wrong.

What's going on with you this weekend? We are going to a wedding tomorrow. Not sure what else is on the agenda.

Absolutely great stuff to read on Idol this weekend--looking forward to that. The final season of House of Cards is on Netflix, will be watching that. An adorable little baby boy will be blessed during services tomorrow so I want to pick him up a little book later today. He's not a year old, but he's a big boy who for some reason always wants me to pick him up and cuddle him--I love him!--but he's too heavy for me to hold for more than a few minutes.

It's a dull day in Cowtown today. No snow yet, but oh the sky is brooding.

It's a wonderful meditative art form. Zentangle.com I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in 2015 and absolutely love it!

I love my fountain pen! It's so much fun! I've got two, actually. Once I burn through all my gel pens, I'll be writing with it more.

This weekend I have a karate tournament and then lots of reading and nanowrimoing.

One is a Lamy. It's plastic and has refillable plastic tubes that you put in it (I forgot all the terminology). The other is a pen I got as a gift when my parents went to London. It's one that you dip into the inkwell and write with that they got from the Jane Austen house. I'm assuming it's the same model she used, or you know, a version of it.

Well, I don't know about fun things, but this weekend will definitely include going through the California Voter's Guide on all of the propositions on the ballot. There are 10 of them or so, and there's always careful reading involved to see who's really backing the petition (i.e., hospital patients? Or hospital owners?).

The candidates are pretty straightforward at this point except for things like the school board, which is a little /o\.

Today I'm totally kicking myself thinking of things I could've/should've/would've put in my Idol piece. Daaaang itttttt. I just don't think I conveyed the vibe I wanted to. It's bugging me. Like, a lot. I'm distracting myself with my son's Halloween candy that I've totally NOT BEEN STEALING how dare you even suggest it! ;)

It's raining like crazy out there today, and I have my window open so I can listen to it. It's not even too cold, like 60 degrees F.

Tonight is movie night at my son's school, so we're doing that, tomorrow is a whole lotta nothing, which is perfect, then Sunday, I'm heading to my Sacred Sunday gathering with my local witchy pagan pals, which will be an all day thing and I'm super looking forward to it.

There are things I could do this weekend but I'll probably just hang out at home. Read entries, reply to comments, watch shows. Play video games. Stuff.

Did a Target run w the Fuzzy1 / Mother-to-be. Installed "base" for car seat in mine while she got her car serviced. 2-3 weeks to go and there will be an Idol Grandbaby!
