A few words from clauderainsrm:

We all have our ghosts.

Those haunting the edges of our vision and mental space, teasing us with answers and even more questions.

Questions like “Why are there so many byes this week?” Answers like “Sometimes that happens.” and “There’s a long way to go, those people had better be careful if they don’t want to end up out of the competition!” Then again, maybe we will end up getting to the Top 30 (when the byes expire) sooner than anyone thinks. Hopefully not!

In the meantime though - there’s plenty of wonderful things to concentrate on. There are more than enough fantastic entries to keep you occupied for the duration of voting!

Before we get to that though, we do need to say goodbye to someone who had to drop out due to real life commitments - fading_light

Some amazing names on that list. I hope we get to see them in Second Chance. Going out in this week means that any of the new ones only had a single shot to have their stuff read, and anyone new wouldn’t have really gotten to experience just how good the others were.

But, like I said - there are plenty of people you CAN discover this week. That’s actually one of the advantages of the byes, that it gives you more time with those who are here!

Can I just say that I went to start reading and first Safari randomly opened and closed on me (and I know I didn't click on it!) and then the internet randomly decided to restart ...
