The poll went up last night and voting happening right now! https://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1002642.html

What entries are on your personal Mount Rushmore of Week 2?

We definitely saw it in week 1 where entries weren't on everyone's radar. The best way to counter that is to speak up and share your discoveries with other people! Not just here, but anywhere you happen to go through your internet day!

There's no need for a DNA test, our polls are 100% Native 'Merican! No damn foreign polls here!

How is your day going?

What did everyone bring for lunch? I'm getting peckish.

Lunch? I haven't had breakfast yet. You're on the early side of the country. What's it like eating lunch at 9:00 a.m.?

I started reading last night. Sonreir’s
Entry is on my Mount Rushmore of entries right now.

My day is going slow. I have an appointment this afternoon to deal with my TMJ issues. Even though I know that the end result will be improvement, these intermediate steps are painful.

It is cloudy and cool here.

I loved Sonreir’s work this week, too! I’ve only just gotten started with entries so far, though.

I hope you find a TMJ therapy that works. It has plagued me in the past, but I finally found a great maxilliofacial guy whose tough love and special made bite guard for nights got me relief, eventually. Now I don’t even have to sleep with the bite guard anymore unless life gets maddeningly stressful.

This is my third round of treatment. The joint hypermobility means it’s always going to be a bit of an issue. This orthotic is good now that I’m getting used to it. This treatment is a little different than what I did before. What I would really like is a mix of the two I’ve had before. This bite orthotic gets warm 24/7 including when you eat for 40 days. Eventually it will go to night only. My other one worked really well but I didn’t need it as often and ended up needing fillings and my teeth shifted so it didn’t fit and I had to start over. My jaw did a full subluxation in July. So it has needed a bunch of additional treatment this time that I didn’t need before.

Your jaw situation sounds like a lot to deal with! Cheers to your treatment working well. I saw from your hurricane post that we might live near each other. I’m in Tallahassee. I feel a little sliver of your pain with ED as I have a Marfan syndrome diagnosis. Not nearly the trouble with joint issues as ED, but some similar symptoms to stay on top of.

Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear about your jaw...an old friend of mine had TMJ. It's no joke! :(

Lunch isn't for a few more hours here, being that I'm on the west coast (BEST coast). But I guess since it's feeling like fall here, I'd go with a soup/salad combo.

[personal profile] yamyam_kat is finally feeling better. She broke her fever for good yesterday. I hope it stays broken.

Tomato soup and grilled cheese!

Poor Yamyam! Glad to hear she's on the mend. It's terrible for us moms when the smalls are sick. *hugs to you*

So many fantastically well-carved entries for this strangely difficult prompt! I'm enjoying the diversity and variety of the writing for this Idol!

Currently waiting for the maintenance guys to fix what they messed up when they fixed the leaky faucet on my kitchen sink yesterday. Sigh.

Lunch is leftover 15 bean soup. I'm so happy the weather is finally cooperating with my desire for fall foods!

I dunno about others, yet, but [personal profile] zedmanauk's entry was enough to make me want to link it at my boyfriend. It's extremely clever -- don't be thrown by the weird intro; once you get about halfway through you realize what it's about and that it's hilarious. :)

I am half way through reading and I am pretty impressed with the work everyone has put out. Each entry is well thought and executed. It's gonna be really difficult choosing and voting this week.
