What have you read that makes you go - EVERYONE should be reading this!! Especially if you look at the poll and see that it doesn't have "enough" votes? It's a closed community vote, so the numbers are going to be a little different. In theory, they shouldn't be. Because anyone can sign up and join the community. But there are always people who don't do that. Which is why it's interesting to narrow things down a bit. it's kind of like how Gary-only voting is going to be awesome when it finally happens!!! :)

*ahem* That said, I pretty much chugged iced tea all day yesterday so i could watch Survivor and...wow. Just wow. i'll not say anything more specific in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. I would say Jeff is actually more sadistic than Gary, but I don't want to give him a goal.

I thought it was an interesting twist. Apparently they did it in Survivor: Brooklyn (a fan run event that several contestants, including Zeke - before he was on the show participated in. Which means it may have been from an international version.

I got up and yelled at my tv halfway into Jeff reading the votes. I'm so angry. Out of the three I was cheering for when the season started, one is left.

I went in figuring at a Sierra would probably end up winning, and that the people I didn't like (Troyzan, Culpepper both are that category) would probably end up being on my TV for a very long time, and my favorites would be out early. That just seems to be how "All Star" seasons go.

Nothing I've seen so far has proven that wrong.

I'm still reeling a little. We made it to Live Know it Alls (which led to my second chance post for this round) and the room was electric and screaming at the television screen!

On this cast, the person who went home was one of my favorites. I still have a couple that I'm rooting for, but darn, I hated seeing who went home last night, and said person looked absolutely heartbroken. I have a lot of thoughts on the tribal council last night, but don't want to post any spoilers. I'm waiting patiently for the exit interview and will still be tuning in religiously to see what happens next.

I'm exhausted today. Stuck in Toronto helping my brother who is recovering from a near-fatal surgical complication. Very excitedly booked a nicely priced hotel for tonight with a king bed and a jacuzzi/whirlpool tub. I'm staying with my brother until my father gets here to take over.

Unfortunately, my father's flight is delayed. He likely won't land until 10pm at the earliest. So by the time he gets through customs and takes a taxi the nearly one-hour drive to my brother's apartment, it will be after midnight.

I'm not leaving my brother's apartment until after my father gets here. So that means I won't get to the hotel until well after midnight.

My flight home leaves tomorrow at 7:45am, so I need to be at the airport by 5:30.

Luckily the hotel is near the airport. I already paid for the hotel and it's non-refundable. I might just go, check in, enjoy the jacuzzi tub, and then go to the airport. I'm thinking I won't sleep tonight.

At least I can sleep all day tomorrow during my two layovers...

I'm managing to keep all the plates spinning and all the balls in the air. Not quite two weeks post-house fire, and we're still not quite home yet, but that's okay...

I'm cat-sitting for a friend, and her wee gray beastie that does not let anyone pet him came out and ate today. This is a big achievement, because yesterday I had to hide before he felt safe enough to emerge and eat.

That's where I'm at today.
