This morning I came up with what I think is going to be "the next step" of Idol. Not sure if it's a mini season or a regular season, or if what we know will morph... it was all in a dream. So who knows what it actually *is*. But I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about it, because I've had a few people tell me that they wanted to play "next season" and I haven't actually committed to that yet. We'll have to see what this idea becomes. :)

(and more importantly - how this season plays out! That's going to be a *huge* factor! )

I apologize for not being around as often as I usually am. I'm dealing with some issues right now which are affecting stuff across the board, Idol included. Hopefully time with unwrinkle all of it.

I awoke from a dream where I bought a puppy--a beagle!--in a thrift store. I stopped to ask the proprietress a question and out of the corner of my eye I see my puppy, pre-named Ruffles, being let, leashless, out the door. Next thing I am in the parking lot calling, "Ruffles, Ruffles, Ruffles!" No Ruffles. A Little black puppy came up in need of a belly rub, so I'm rubbing this puppy's belly while I'm calling for Ruffles.

By the way, I would never name a dog Ruffles.

Sorry, that's all I've got, but I would love to participate in another season of Idol.

LOL! I never thought of potato chips! I thought of frills. Now I've got the munchies, and I am thinking, Doritos, Cheezies, and a chocolate lab called Cadbury. And I have a serious case of the munchies. LOL!

One of my friends had a group of cats all named after candy. Her favorite was a gray and white kitten named Cadbury, but everyone called him Whitey.

We mostly always gave our pets human names. Though over the years we had a Fluffy (cat), a Tiger (cat) changed to Tigger because he took the first name too literally, a Frisky (dog) came from someone else, and a Rattler (dog) came from someone else. Oh, and there was a Teddy (dog) but I have known boys named Teddy so I don't think that counts.

I need more dreams of dogs. (Smile)

My grandma had a big white cat named Fluffy and my oldest sister had an orange Tiger.

The cats at my house are all named on a Bewitched theme. I'm about to change Adam's name to Mrs. Kravitz because he's always watching us through the (closed off) outside cat door.

I wouldn't name a dog Ruffles either. Naming pets after snack foods ("Ruffles have ridges") would have a sad unintended consequence. I would either be constantly hungry or surrounded by empty bags of potato chips.

My daughter left for a three day trip with her school chorus today - she's in 7th grade - the first time she has gone on a trip without parents - meep! That's more a nightmare...I was totally freaked to say goodbye this morning, but I know it's good for her.

PLUS this means my son gets to be an only child for a few days. He and I are already planning video game marathons, junk food dinners and some action movie watching Friday night, woohoo!

Wow, three days. I think my first overnight trip with school was when I was in 10th grade.

She auditioned for the annual statewide chorus competition and made it. There are 10 kids from her school that are going and four teachers. She and four other girls all have a suite to themselves- very swanky, lol! I'm just worried about her money situation. She's never really had to budget for anything and she has to pay for food for three days, so I was like "Don't spend it all in one place...seriously!"
