I have been working on tons of art projects and prepping for the national counseling exam. I am the worst this time around at commenting and participating in the Green Room. It's kind of frustrating knowing that I am just not putting the effort in I wish I was, but there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to write and read, let alone respond. Sorry, all.

I came across a song last week that I mentioned on my journal yesterday. It seems fairly well suited to the topic, and I'm kind of addicted to it at the moment, so I'm going to link it here:

Incubus is a great band and this is one of my favorite songs by them.

That whole album is nothing but Good Memories for me. It was the album that was out when I saw my second Incubus concert with a couple of good friends. :) But Love Hurts definitely holds a soft spot for me.

"Drive" is the song of theirs that I really like. There are others I think are pretty good, but I had an obsessive love for "Drive" from the get-go.

I'd never heard "Love Hurts" until last week, but it got me right away. The tune is both catchy and a little mournful, with a hint of optimism in the whole song, and pulls me in far more than I would expect. :)

"Drive" is probably their most popular song (also from another album that holds Good Memories for me -- though I was just a teenager when that came out, hah). They're a good band and have a lot to offer, but their sound mellows out a lot in newer albums.

Yeah, "Love Hurts" is definitely up there, for me. For all of the same reasons. :)

My laptop got attacked by a ransomeware... which is basically a virus that sneaks into your system , hijacks it , makes copies of every single file in all forms , encrypts it into an unreadable format, deletes the original , makes it impossible to restore to an earlier setting .... and posts a ransome note in each folder and desktop ... saying I need to make payment via bit coins ( to an account which becomes totally untraceable ) equivalent to some huge value of USD ....so that they hijackers will release the code/key that will help me decrypt my files.

My laptop had work of the last two years and almost 1000+ photos I had been taking. And yes ... I have no back up and I have at the moment seemed to have lost everything ... :(

So reading and commenting not happening. Might as well just vote for everyone who has written .... :( :( :(

Late Commenter League, Eye Exam Edition

Heh, I've got a new prescription and a wagging finger to start wearing my glasses all the time "because you are at THAT age." Well, OK then :p

I'm currently staying at a local hotel while my kitchen floor is ripped up and repaired. It's morphed into a structural issue, though, which means I have no idea how long I'll be here.

I've got a kitchenette, cable, wifi, an easy commute to work, a 15-minute drive to the house, and a "Niagara Falls" showerhead. I'm good :)
