If the internet is any indication, one of the best ways to create conversation is saying the words "Jennifer Lawrence".

So - how about that Jennifer Lawrence?

***

Today is the last day of Week 2, and the poll will be closing tonight, sending two more into the Home Game! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/956559.html

So if you are going to #MaketheCase for anyone to stick around another week - this is your last shot to do so!

DAMMIT! SO CLOSE!

Did Jennifer Lawrence do something notable this week?

Tuesday, I made some soup and grilled cheeses and we sat down to eat in the living room - usually I'm a stickler for eating at the table but I was worn out. Anyway, we turned on the TV and Catching Fire was on. The kids and I sat up until 11:00 on a school night watching it - it's the best of the Hunger Games movies!

Oh for god's sake that isn't news. That's her being goofy -- oops, sorry! My bad! But yeah, a story not to be part of her usual talk show schtick.

As they should be.

I didn't mean to sound flippant as to what she said-- that's my interpretation of how she probably said it (I didn't see the show but I've seen her enough on talk shows to know how she comes across).

Ooh, what kind of soup?

Lame pre-canned soup, lol! I make a mean chicken stew, but we were in a hurry so it was: Campbell's Cream of Chicken for my son and I, Progresso Minestrone for my daughter and Campbell's White Chicken Chili for my husband.

The grilled cheeses were more exciting. Depending on different people's taste, I made some with American, white cheddar, colby-jack and provolone and then others with various combinations of those four cheeses!

I'm down to 10 entries in my tribe left to read. I will do my best to tackle the other tribe as well, but man, oh man, there are a lot of fantastic pieces out there. :D

The countdown to Break is on! Whoo Hoo! My engagement ring band cracked/ split!!! The ring plus my wedding band and aunt's ring are all at the jewelers getting repaired. Wedding band needs resizing. My aunt's ring had 3 teensy diamond chips fall out. Gift to myself is getting my bling fixed and shiny again. I get all the pieces back tomorrow after work. I cant wait!

I am so behind...how's that saying go? I'm so far behind I think I'm first ???

I was contemplating my attic...sipping my coffee and bam! here's another GR. (Good, keeps me from having to explain why I have boxes in my attic still taped shut from our move 13 years ago....cuz damn.) (Or lying down on the therapist couch inside my own skull office and discussing the ghosts that haunt me.)

Jennifer Lawrence. Let's see. The young gal who literally owned "Winter's Bone"? That's all I know. Oh, and she tripped at the Oscars...but that looked staged, or perhaps that's just me because I took a ton of bets at my high school graduation when I was challenged to trip onstage...and I did.

The film "Winter's Bone" is almost ALMOST flawless...but the novel is more deeply moving. SouthernGoth is my genre of choice.

Jennifer Lawerence will forever be Katniss in my kid's mind. The new movie with her and Chris Pratt looks like it could be interesting.

I'm part way into tribe 1. I finished reading and voting tribe 2 this morning.

I seem to have caught the winter ick. I can't stop coughing. Headed to the doctor (which I never go to the doctor unless I can't avoid it) in a few minutes

There are so many good entries. I don't know who to recommend!

Also, can I just say that sometimes sharing my first name with a famous person (make that ten thousand famous people and about ten million non-famous people) is not all that much fun?

Hey, one of my high school classmates has your name! And so does one of my coworkers!

(In other words it's not as old fashioned as you think. Unusual nowadays, however, it seems to be. So is my name!)

I played volleyball in 6th and 7th grades. There were 12 girls on the team, and FOUR of us were Jennifer.

So on the court, at one time, we frequently had Jen, Jenny, Jenna, and Jennifer.

Totally wasn't confusing at all when the coach was yelling at us...

I also have a very common name. There were four of us that all had the same name, and we were on journalism staff in high school. That was when I started going by a nickname. :|

It's tough. I mean, it's awesome in that nobody ever asks how to pronounce it or (at least in my case) how to spell it, and you can always find the key chain with your name on it at the souvenir stores.

But then you have to share it with a bazillion other people and it gets old, and sometimes very confusing.

I went by my middle name for a while, but it just never stuck.

Saw something about JLaw on my FB feed recently but didn't bother reading it. She's OK, but if I'm going to read Hollywood gossip, it'd be a juicy piece of Hollywood gossip, LOL.

Finished Tribe 2 yesterday. I'm somewhere in Tribe 1, don't ask me where. I just hope I can finish before poll closes, eek!

I have got twenty-three left to read. My secret? Turning to the fireplace channel...we have one in December, thats all that's on it twenty-four-seven...and read. There are so, so many terrific stories and poems this week. If you can, read them all.

Jennifer Lawrence...mhm...pretty girl, pretty good actress...mhm...have seen her in a few things...don't know much about her.

Reading, reading, reading!

I know very little about Jennifer Lawrence, but I definitely side-eye some of her antics.

How is it already Thursday? I haven't voted yet. I haven't gotten anything done. :(

I've watched Jennifer Lawrence since she starred in the Poker House when she was 14. It's a highly triggering movie and also stars Selma Blair, but my word. She followed that up with Winter's Bone which had me hooked. She deserved the Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook, (also triggering) and the nomination for American Hustle. The chick can act. I love the movies almost as much as books!
