1. I've been off the last two days and the weather has been absolutely gorgeous. If my knee were behaving I'd be out with The Boyz all day. Since it's not, the three of us have to contend with several shorter walks. Nevertheless, they're loving it, I'm loving it, and I love watching the hawks overhead.

2. I've been consciously cooking healthier meals since both SO and I are committed to seriously watching our weights. Lots of veggies, salads, lean meats, a square or two of dark chocolate as a daily treat which doesn't break the calorie bank. I've already lost 7 lbs. He's lost 10. WOOT!

3. Latest guilty pleasure is watching Murdoch Mysteries on Netflix and Amazon Prime. We're already anticipating withdrawal symptoms if we can't find last season's shows (we're up to season 8, so it's 9 we're looking for). They're filming season 10 right now.

That IS exciting! Though I would love to see that be background checks and an assault-weapons ban. We so desperately need both of those.

Oh, that would sure help. I saw "terrorists" and "mental health," and that leaves a huge hole for people not already identified as terrorists or mentally ill.

Which is not a reason not to do it, because at this point, any amount is an improvement. :O

fawn left in our yard by Mom while she went out foraging.

mom eventually came back and got the baby, and the daycare-kids watched the fawn nurse from inside the house. :)

Made it home safely after the crazy storm! Wow! Thought I was gonna be a cast member of a new TWISTER movie for a while!

Now home for a nice dinner, wine and watching MY CAT FROM HELL.
