Anyone else notice that rm hasn't been "THE" vote-threat now for the last couple of weeks?

Of course neither she nor spydielives have cracked the last two vote-getting record. The holders of those two records being current contestants! So given that there are quite a few other people within 10 votes striking distance, I'd say that going into Stage 2 it's still very much anyone's game. Just looking at that yesterday.

I think I picked a spectacular week for a bye last week. I'm a wildcard with the data- no idea at all where I stand. I know I get a lot of support from my friends list, but I don't know how much. :-)

My right knee is playing "Kill Oz" game today. We're hoping to get up to DC (Hey Spydie... anyone else... wanna meet us at the tree?) tonight. *HOPE HOPE HOPE* (OK, I'm about 90% sure we're going up there... here's our plan: Old Post Office Pavillion to see the Candlelighter's tree because my oldest son had cancer when he was 5, then walk down PA Ave to the elipse where i will proceed to take yet another illegal white house photo and possibly some tree photos, then back up to catch the metro to Union Station for some grub and to see there and then back to our car to head over to the Mormon Temple so that we can see the lights there, too. Banging it all out in one fell swoop!)

Hopefully the prospect of many awesome photos will help get me out of the funk I'm in today. :)

Don't know about anyone else, and I suspect I'm going to regret saying this, but I wish they hadn't killed the tiger. Could they not have tranquilized it and then relocated it to a facility better suited for its moods?

They shot it mid-attack, while crouched over a victim. It was also the second time that tiger has attacked a human.

While I can't BLAME the tiger (I'd probably react the same way if I were in a cage and had knives attached to my hands) I can understand why they took her out the quickest way they knew how.

When I was in ATL I dated a guy from Long Island and every time we went to his family's house we managed to get stuck in D.C. rush hour traffic, and one year, a snowstorm.
