and while I can't "say" this is the last week to use your byes - they expire at the Top 20. We are now at the Top 23. So use that knowledge accordingly.

That also means that it's the last chance to "tag out" if you want to bring someone else in (for people currently out of byes) or give a "gift bye" to someone else to use. (I'll accept either of those up until an hour before the deadline)

It seems like a lot of people are behind this week. Better this week, where you can still use a bye and not the first time you can't... I'm hoping that isn't just going to be a mass bye-out!

I have to tell you, I was starting to get bored with LJI. Getting voted out was the best thing that could have happened to me. Hell, if someone tried to tag me back in before the deadline, I'd outright *REFUSE* to accept it!

Oh, by the way -- I got this bridge in Brooklyn that I'm looking to sell at a bargain rate. Any US citizens who are interested should send me their full name, birth date and SSN so I can perform a proper credit check. Interested non-Americans should send me their full bank account information: specific banks and account numbers.

The Gatekeeper section remains applicable (as far as I know, again completely unofficially)

Gatekeepers - An invited group of experts who vote on a week's entries. Once or so a season, instead of there being a poll, Gary will invite an unidentified group of previous contestants, winners, and/or professional writer/publisher types to read the entries and vote for their favorites. It's a big deal because you can't watch a poll, you don't know who's voting, and we're usually not sure how many people will be eliminated. When the results come out, Gary identifies the Gatekeepers, and sometimes the Gatekeepers will write a post explaining the logic or process they used when voting.
