The Final Second Chance vote is happening right now: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/906091.html so take the opportunity to help shape how the rest of this competition is going to go, by selecting the last participants!

Once they are in, they will be joining everyone else in this week's Topic thread: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/905315.html

I've been noticing a trend in my personal life. (or at least work-based "personal life") which is the "You need to figure out your own way of doing things", which is quickly followed by a step-by-step instructions of *exactly* how they want things done and in what order! ;)

In that spirit, you can comment here in the Green Room anyway you want... but here are some step-by-step instructions on how to comment in the Green Room! ;)

I have spent many years working in offices, and a few retail stores, where the struggle was constant to do what you were told to do and yet deal with a hundred coy variations of "what do you think?" (meaning tell me what I want to hear).
.
I have also done some acting/music/performance/art-making, where the story is somehow the same, yet quite different -- harder to explain, yet somehow wrapped up in creation vs. interpretation, under the necessary control of a benign dictator (the director or conductor or whoever) and/or a committee of directors (artistic, technical, musical, etc.), and then again the stress of interpersonal struggle and pleasure.
.
Poetry readings, so apparently "free" on the surface, also have their parameters and paradigms of "acceptance" or simple polite ignoring/rejection.
.
School (at any age) is also a unique mix on the theme, but has its similar struggles/achievements, but with a slightly different and more personal motive/motiff. I think.....
.
I am sure most of you all have experienced your own variations on the theme.
.
Life can be beautiful, and yet ugly, too.

I never follow the instructions. Rather, I *WRITE* the instructions!

(Really. That's part of my job.)

My muse tapped me on the shoulder this morning, so technically I don't *NEED* any story ideas... but to properly do the piece I'm thinking of it would have to be a bit on the long side, and I'm not sure I'll have the time to do it right.

So: If you have any story ideas for this week that you're not using, please let me know what they are. Don't worry if they're "crazy"; Sometimes I enjoy doing "crazy", sometimes I can rework "crazy" into something manageable, and sometimes just hearing a "crazy" idea gets my creative juices flowing, allowing me to come up with something totally different...

Sometimes when I can't think of a story idea, I like to Google image search the prompts.

I think that ... this may not work. Unless y'all are into X rated.
