Work is crazy today, but I didn't want you to think you were forgotten!

Believe me, I'm still keeping an eye on the poll: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/903946.html
that is closing tonight! From what we've seen this season, I'm predicting another unpredictable finish!

Which entries - in your opinion - aren't getting the love they deserve?

Good Afternoon, GR! First / Frist another time? If I'm "dead to you" again, does this make me a zombie?

LOL

Eh, you don't look that zombie-ish to me ;)

You didn't see my hair this morning when I woke up! LOL

LOL you don't see mine when I get an advanced case of "hat head", thank god!

Zombie-ish? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Let's face it: you're far too active, stylish, and (dare I say it) *SEXY* to be a mere "zombie", even though you keep returning from a state of being dead to me.

No, all things considered you're much more likely to be one of the nosferatu, also known as the vampyr. They have a reputation of refusing to stay dead, too.

PS: YOU'RE *DEAD* TO ME!

Good afternoon GR!

Unfortunately I've got nothing except cookies. That is, if Gary can now eat them...which means, if he can, I'll have to hide them ;)

I absolutely loved [livejournal.com profile] the_lettersea's entry this week. Solid story telling, with just enough of the weird to keep me happy.

This weekend has been crazy nuts crazy. I've read and voted but I haven't even started commenting yet. How do the rest of you find time?

The time comes in part because of giving up too much of my weekend. :(

I realized yesterday afternoon, during a particularly challenging few stories, that I can spend 15-20 minutes per story if I want to read it thoroughly, and I generally do. That's really time-consuming!

I'm not one of those people who likes to forego comments, or who tends to bail out on a story early, so... that adds up too. :O

But given that I look forward to your comments, I'm glad you put the time in to make them!

I feel bad that I don't make more! But if I comment as I read, I've learned I run out of time to read everything. And I hate leaving just little brief comments (though I also appreciate them). So I just end up being a big ball of guilt on the day the poll closes.

And every day. :D

This time around I was getting my hair done at the Aveda beauty school. Great job, inexpensive, but it takes forever because the stylist's teachers check every step of the work. So I read on my phone in the chair for four hours!

I can't comment on my phone. My spelling is bad enough as it is and my meaty thumbs make my Swype-skills questionable at best. I can compensate for my dyslexia, but when I spell the same word wrong four times on my phone, I kind of go a little nuts.

The reading I always manage to find time for, mostly because I read super quickly and can do it in fast batches. Commenting though... it varies. This week I have sucked at commenting. I, uh, don't think I managed any except responses on my own entry (and yet here I am commenting in the GR instead of on entries, even while I say I don't have time - because I can jot off something fairly fast here, which doesn't require much thought or care, while I'm at work. It's a lot harder for me to comment on entries. I like to make substantive comments if I can, and I try to choose my words carefully. When my brain is all ARRRRRGH as it is today that's a challenge and a half).

Parenthetical comment is overly parenthetical. Yep. Comments are hard.

Yeah, I make a point to "comment back" when somebody comments on my entries before trying to tackle other comments. On my spread sheet, I try to make a point of visiting people I've not visited in recent weeks, but this weekend was just nuts and now I'm at work.

I voted for way more pieces than I commented on though - like almost everything this week.

Dude, your comments include a song, every single time! That's next level stuff there. I'm struggling to find new and novel ways of saying "I liked this" and "this was really neat" and you're stepping up the comment game for everyone. :)

The only time the song thing is a problem is when the song I want to share is also maybe one I want to use in an entry later.

I do a lot of improv and there's this game we play called Hot Spot where you have to sing a song inspired by the song the last person sang - I've gotten pretty good at accessing every song I've ever heard. Oh - but the other challenge is a lot of the songs that pop into my head are awful and I try to avoid sharing those. Poor [livejournal.com profile] dmousey did get "What Did The Fox Say?" today, but that couldn't be avoided. :P

Since I nearly pee'd myself laughing with this write, and read it aloud to my hubs ( who has Multiple Sclerosis and his eyes are bad) and he guffawed as much as I cackled... I submit for perusal and promotion,

Also, if you haven't read this poem (http://bleodswean.livejournal.com/269506.html) by [livejournal.com profile] bleodswean, check it out. Its my favorite LJI poem so far this season. Expertly constructed.

Wow! Thank you! It was a bit nerve-wracking to enter a poem, but I've been getting such wonderful feedback on it. I really appreciate it. And I totally appreciate YOUR comments and this lovely rec!

Just turned in my votes. Looks like my favorites are doing fairly well overall.

I'm putting this here: I'm really sorry I haven't commented on most people's entries. We're in the middle of recording a cd, and I've been exhausted when I get home.

*okay, back to work*
