Green Room - Week 12 - Weekend Edition

I spent yesterday at the Florida Strawberry Festival. It was my first time going.

Which means, of course, that I ended up with heat exhaustion.

Go to Disney for all day - and end up feeling just fine.

Go to a "county fair" type thing (or Cedar Point, which does have a lot of county fair type rides as well as roller coasters) and BAM, heat exhaustion.

At least this time I didn't end up having to take a ride in an ambulance!

Good and bad new this weekend: bad news first. KFP is over his double ear infection. However, he had a drug rash from it and now has an upper respiratory cold and a headache. Good thoughts are welcome.

In the good news department, the last of the cats my mom was feeding should now be on their ways to new homes. Halleluiah!

Ahhh Cedar Point... best amusement park ever! ( beats Disney IMO) Hoping you're feeling completely well soon. Having dental work before you went probably didn't help (especially if on antibiotics).

Coming down with a chest cold. Which is the universe telling me that I really shouldn't have committed to recording a presentation tomorrow. At current rate, I'm going to sound like Clancy Brown having a shouting match with Ron Perlman over whether Barry White or Matt Berninger has (or had) a lower vocal range.

My weekend has been going great! I was expecting to be a wreck today. Due to a long and complicated story about insurance and pharmacies, I didn't get my very necessary medication delivered on time. It's not that I die without it, but that I become pretty non-functional without it. Yesterday I went to a craft/product vendor fair. A very small affair, but I felt like I couldn't back out of it because I have to try to make a living right now as much as possible. So I was as careful as I could be, packing lightly, using a walker and sitting a lot. I did alright at the event and made it home in one piece and expected to be paying for it for the rest of the weekend.

I'm tired this morning but not like, wrecked up and whining about pain and crap and that's fantastic. So I got to hang out with my friend, brought my kid (who is six) and got to see him sell his origami and stuff, and now I'm still like, feeling alright! So that's really awesome. It's a good weekend.

Bummed that I will be missing the strawberry festival this year. I have relatives that live five minutes away from the festival grounds.

My weekend was hitting the emergency room...twice...on Thursday. After the second time, and a blood oxygen level of 81, they decided to keep me at the hospital.

It's funny I wrote about someone having a vision and their eyesight going foggy...because turns out that's what happens when your lips are turning blue from lack of oxygen.

I've had better weekends.

I love strawberries, but it's too early for them in northern California. Not until May/June. :(

Our weekend saw some much-needed rain, but also some very unwelcome wind. We lost a fence last night-- fortunately one of the short sides.
