Speaking of confusion, I have been asked a couple times so I'm going to answer a question here.

Is it cool for people to use "multiple journals" to vote?

I've seen it done in the last couple of weeks. It hasn't made a big impact on the results, but it has been there. It's one of those things where I throw out the votes that I, and kithan catch. I'd rather not have to do that... so I'd rather you didn't do it.

There HAS NOT been a case yet this season where it was done by a contestant, it seems more the work of someone's friend wanting to help. I understand that, I would just hate for someone to think that they were safe, and then I have to eliminate them because of throwing out votes.

So just keep in clean, and make sure your friends know that too.

Hey, all.

I took a bye this week- too many things happening at once. I found an incredible apartment- excellent price, excellent situation, but it's a no go. The problem? It's 38 minutes away, according to mapquest, and roommate said that 30 was her limit. Gah! So no go there. ;-/ I joined rommmates.com last night in the hopes that I'll find something there- I don't think I'm going to find a place that fits my potential roomie's conditions- I haven't seen one in the last month.

I still have a drippy ear, but I have a treasured appointment cancellation - they fit me in today, huzzah.

Critter woke me up 15 minutes before my alarm was set to go off (and just when my dream had turned nasty-weird), with the news that he'd thrown up. They served shrimp at academic team last night, so it was either that or a virus, since the rest of us (who had the soup for dinner) are fine.

I think I shall make lasagne for dinner tonight, it should amuse Critter.

Today is day 5 in my ongoing quest to see I Am Legend.

Friday we had babysitting and went to the theater but all showings were sold out.
Sunday hubby worked late and we didn't have time to go.
Monday the babysitter (ie my mother in law) had no power because of the ice storm.
*Crosses fingers that today works out*

Please DO NOT tell me anything about it, I am completely unspoiled and am trying to keep it that way!

At a meeting yesterday, as everyone was going over the upcoming schedule, I realized much to my horror OMG! XMAS IS NEXT WEEK!!! ARGH! *begin minor freak out*

It just left me wondering where in the hell the time went this month. Geesh. I still have to buy for the kiddies. Which will probably happen this weekend. Tis hard to shop for kids with said kids in tow. (plus it completely blows away the whole Santa aspect)

And - Xmas dinner? I have nothing suitable in my kitchen right now. Seems a trip to the grocery store will be in order this weekend too. So underprepared this year.

But on a good note, the new year looks pretty good. Hubby starts a new job Jan 7, making about 20k more than current position. Finally a place that will pay him what he's worth. Whee! *dances*

Now it is back to work for me.

Truth? Really excited about being in the Top 100 and about having done well last week. My excitement, however, is being dampened by a flare because, as is most likely obvious to anyone who has been reading my journal lately, I've been overdoing it.

I just got back from kicking my own backside at PT though, so hopefully the adrenaline and stretching will help. :)

I learned a new stretch today that, hopefully, will take care of more of my pain. Dr.Lee (as opposed to Dr.Norris) wants me to tackle one pain site at a time.

I have seen both of my doctors. One reassured me that the mental mud is only temporary. The other congratulated me on my amazing lab results.

So... going into the top 100 (assuming I make it past this week's voting), I am doing... not too badly.

Didn't multiple-journal voting cause things to get all out of whack towards the end of last season? That's why I put a "one set of votes per voter" request on my Please Vote posts.

There was one case early and one case late. The early one was someone just getting a little too journal happy and not realizing that it wasn't cool. She dropped out when it was pointed out, because she felt bad. (not wanting to put any words into anyone's mouth, but she honestly didn't think she was doing anything bad, and wanted to "make it right" by dropping.)

The second was a case where someone's friends got too journal happy with role playing accounts... when he realized it wasn't cool, he also took a knee.

It seems to be more innocent than anyone trying to manipulate the system, which is what it seemed to be this time, which is why I didn't do more than make this post. The people will read it, and be on notice. Which means most likely they will stop.
