I promised a massacre that would be a game-changer, and true enough, that's exactly what happened. Definitely some unexpected - and close - results.

With the Rivals, it came down to 1 vote. With the Friends, one of the teams that came in as one of the bottom two did so by an average of less than a vote - and within the team itself by a single vote.

Alas, my two week reprieve is over. I've made a solid vow to Home Game as I can. I wasn't as happy with this week as last, and I sort of had the feeling, it wasn't quite enough.

I want to stick around to see my prompts come up, and laugh as you try to write them.

I must admit that I can't say that I really know either tjoel2 or pshaw_raven, but I've enjoyed the writings of copyright1983, m_malcontent, mac_arthur_park and poppetawoppet in the past. I am surprised and sorry to see they're all getting kicked out this week...

I want to apologize for not getting enough time to read and comment as much as I should these last few weeks, been sort of hectic lately and barely eking out 5-1/2 hours of sleep as is. I'm trying to do better though. Hugs and cookies to all - please HG!

I sort of strongly suggest that the last remaining 10 rivals should maybe consider forming 2 teams of 5 members each. This was really rough to have such a great group of talent all checking out at once.

So sad to be losing so many this week. I do hope I will see you in the home game. Thanks to my surgeon I took my first bye last week so I missed most of the drama, but I will miss muchtooarrogant, loved his voice and generosity, baxaphobia whose posts took me out of my familiar world and into hers, and lapis_lazuli615 who I didn't know too well, but hoped that would change. And this week's losses hit hard too: tjoel2, majesticarky, copyright1983, m_malcontent, mac_arthur_park, poppetawoppet, and pshaw_raven I will miss you all, especially because we're losing you all at once. I want to keep reading you!

gg everyone!! Also , no I won't be doing home game. I have never done home game, nor will I ever.

I'm surprised I got voted out, a bit, but am just fine with it. I sometimes don't understand peoples' taste's in this competition. Complete and utter... badness gets a lot of votes and then non-fiction and decent entries get voted out. I guess it partially has to do with the competition becoming fiction-epic centered. I hope the next season isn't like that, because I don't think I'll be participating.

Fiction epics have NO PLACE in this competition. Save it for nano wri mo, folks.

I must sound bitter or something. I'm actually not. I don't mind being voted out , just kind of annoying considering I found my entry better than at least 70 percent of what I read this week.

I am sorry to see you go ... I did enjoy your writing especially this week with the tidbits on Paul and Art.

I do tend to go the non-fic way too and pondering over the fact ' non-fic and decent entries get voted out ' ... I take consolation in the fact that that is how it is with most competitions with votes. The unexpected results are the norm. Good luck with your writing and reading .. I see you are very actively passionate about it.

On np! I didn't do any begging my flist for votes this season because of the teams thing. I didn't want to take votes away from my teammates. I'm surprised I got voted out. I only checked the poll early on and it seemed like I was doing ok. I'm happy I left on a high note because I actually ended up spending a lot of effort into my entry(at least three hours!!) and am proud of the result!

Let us hope all continue to write. LJ Idol should never discourage, only encourage.

I probably will find ways to write more and more. It may not end up on LJ. I might bring it to my website in the end since it's paid for, but it will, happen... I hope.

Lots of strong writers in the competition, including a few that are new.to.me (or at least new screen names).

I will probably home game some, though my computer access for the time being is limited, and I am old.enough.to.hate.typing at lengh on the phone with my fat ass thumbs.

That is informative. I found your entry quite clever, but wondered if you were experiencing keyboard problems, because of formatting issues, commas, lack of spacing, etc. I'd hoped LJI wasn't that fickle, because the story was certainly worth the effort, but it was a grueling melee. Unfortunate you were effectively outdone by technology, as it surely was not the story.
