Green Room - Week 7 - Day 1
Dec. 17th, 2007 07:50 amNote to Da Tribes -
jldecker declared a bye that was not reflected on the poll. Just a heads up for whoever thinks "oh, he's going, I don't have to worry"... you do.
How did this happen?
International terrorism.
It can happen to the best of us. If we let this get us down, then the terrorists have won! You don't want the terrorists to win do you? I thought not!!!
***
In other news, Survivor: China ended last night... no more Survivor until Feb. No Kid Nation (which pulled a major turn around IMO in the last couple of episodes and became worth watching again). We DO have the Amazing Race, so at least there is something to keep me entertained!!
Trust me, you'd rather that I spend my time thinking about reality shows, then thinking about reality shows with my only outlet being YOU!!!!*G*
Anyway, good morning and welcome to a new and EXCITING week.

Date: 2007-12-17 01:09 pm (UTC)Can we start the weekend over rather then be here at Monday?
(sorry had to ask...a bit of drama filled weekend that didn't make it such a good one).
I hope everyone has a good Monday:)

Date: 2007-12-17 01:12 pm (UTC)Unless, of course, I have to re-do everything I did this weekend. Then I'm sticking with it being Monday.
Yup. I'm feeling silly this morning. Why do you ask?

Date: 2007-12-17 01:15 pm (UTC)Though I am hoping that Button Boy and his Daddy sleep a little longer so I can relax on the computer. Once they are up, no more computer play time for me.
*hands out cookies, fudge, hot chocolate and some chai lattes to anyone who would like some*
Breakfast of Champions!

Date: 2007-12-17 01:18 pm (UTC)It's o.k. it's not silly.
Friday night was rough with some work stuff/drama attorneys in our Seattle office thinking that we should be there at their beckon call. Yesterday major major family drama. So, if we redid the wekened maybe I wouldn't have to deal with it so much or hopefully not at all.

Date: 2007-12-17 01:18 pm (UTC)At least tell me it was worth it? Is Caroline getting something cool? (Or was it for Ariel or Peter? ;))

Date: 2007-12-17 01:18 pm (UTC)Next Survivor looks interesting... who d'you think will be on the "favorites" tribe? And we only have to wait until February!
I'm with everyone else on starting the weekend over. There wasn't nearly enough of it, although a 2 hr delay for schools lets me start the day a bit late at least. Except the packing tape gun bit me, which wasn't a pleasant start to the day.
Off to make lunches and get out so we can stop at the post office before I drop kidlets off. Whee!

Date: 2007-12-17 01:19 pm (UTC)VERY long weekend, as those of you on my friends list might know. Along with the company Christmas party, an oil change and a ton of Christmas shopping, I drove 300 miles in the snow on Sunday to run various errands across the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. I came home to discover that my roommate had moved out without telling me he was going to. I thought he was moving at the end of the month.
So, stressful. I need to find an apartment and move by January 1, as well as Idol and all the normal holiday stuff.

Date: 2007-12-17 01:20 pm (UTC)Ick. I'm sorry for the drama llama visiting you this weekend. Stupid offices thinking that yours exists just to serve them is nightmarish. And I've been on the receiving end of family drama before.
*hands Nicky some warm hot chocolate and a remote control with a weekend re-do button*
*hugs again*

Date: 2007-12-17 01:22 pm (UTC)At least warmed, marshmallowed chocolate should make it a little more bearable. (Or so I hope, since it's on my list of Must Haves to get through the morning.)

Date: 2007-12-17 01:23 pm (UTC)I think something similar happened to Rich. At least he has an open wound on his finger and I THINK it happened some time after we were packaging up the gifts to head north.

It is very much so nightmarish. My department is the only Conflicts Department for all of the offices we have which is 12. Our hours are 8:15-5 but our Seattle office believes that we should be open as long as they are open but fail to remember that they are 2 hours behind us. So needless to say I spent Friday night getting work down for them as they were calling the boss who was out on a family dinner. So he called me and asked if I could assist being I had the department laptop at home. He told me he could leave the family dinner if need be. I didn't think that was fair.
I think the worst is the receiving end of the family drama. I was over the on Saturday for a few hours and all went well. Sunday morning at 8:30 the drama hit the fan at 8am. I got a lovely phone call that last about a half hour and yeah....
*grabs warm hot chocolate and a remote control with a weekend re-do button*
Thanks again.
