Vote - Week 4 - Friends

A few words from clauderainsrm:

When I set this week’s topics out, I could feel the shockwaves that went down the spines of the contestants. Literally. When they weren’t looking I implanted seismic readers into their spines so that it would register the full effect. Don’t worry, they are all “perfectly harmless”. Or at least that’s what I was told. There may be some side effects of the knock out drugs though. Sorry about that.

Anyway - I knew there was a lot of concern of “What will we do?”

The answer - if this week is any indication is “We will step up to the plate and deliver some amazing entries!”

If future weeks turn out this well, I will be sticking a pin in Week 4 and saying this was where things started getting interesting in this mini season.

As usual, we will be losing one person from the Friends poll and one from the Rivals.


I have no doubt that this is going to be a different decision - so make sure to take the time to read, comment and vote for your favorite entries! And tell your friends about them! This is definitely a good “tell your friends!” week. You’re doing them a favor by letting them know about all the talent on display at Idol!

Wow, it's clear there's a statistical disadvantage to being on a team. We're losing one of nineteen vs one of fifty on the other poll.

I like the camaraderie, but things are way off balance percentage-wise.

Uh, I was told our team was disbanding. =) I had nothing to do with that decision. I wasn't even consulted on it. =))

A little bird told me that you were incredi-busy at home, and since I'm not sure whether or not I can keep up with Idol, and Stacey was gone, I didn't want to go, "hey, yeah, let's stay as a team even though I'm not sure that I'm going to stay in".

And I'm still not, because there are exciting things happening, but I'm hoping I can pull it off. :)

Yeah, I understood the reason(s). I just.. by the first comment I thought it sounded like there was some disappointment because since I'd dropped out, we'd had to disband the team. The disbanding came before I'd even decided I wasn't going to make the deadline. Ultimately, I had no hand in the decision. =)

Yeah, I should have been clearer—it was not my intent to throw you under the bus (so to speak), not when it was a decision I had to come to after realizing that, well...I didn't want to leave anyone high and dry if I ended up dropping. Not a great feeling!

Reading your other comment, things sound sticky all around and I hope that it all comes together for you. It was a joy to write alongside you and gratefuladdict (not to mention reckless_blues and fodschwazzle. Maybe someday I'll get the chance to do so again. :)

Absolutely! I'm so glad to have been on this team. I wish that I could have produced more, but I still have hope I'll find a season when I can pour myself into it! =DD I'd love to revive Team Ocelot! =D

My baby sister and her husband were on the verge of being kicked out of their home in Colorado. The people they were renting with, turns out, didn't even own the house, and the woman's sister was about to proceed with suing them for property rights. They'd just had an emergency injunction issuing the woman the right to oust any tenants (instead of the usual 30 days) immediately.

So... yeah, home's been a little busy. I moved them to Texas, set the two of them and the little baby (my niece) up in our house. It's been a busy few weeks. While I'm sad that this had to fall by the wayside, with Christmas, and all... you know. You do what you can.

Oh, gosh. Well, those real life things are far more importand, and you've done a lot to help your sister and her family.

In the end, that's what matters most. Here's hoping things starting looking better for them!
