Green Room - Week 2 - Day 5

We have tinsel to decorate the office at work.

Which means that everything is covered with the layer of sparkles that never seems to go away.  I recognize it as being from the same family of what occupies the back seat of the car from the last couple of years of having a bonus daughter. ;)

People have made a lot of assumptions on what will be happening over the next couple weeks as far as deadlines go... all I can say is "stay tuned!"  Will it mean there are a lot of bye-out eliminations?  There's only so much I can do about that!  I can make things easier for folks to stay in, but once they are out of byes, that motivation is all on them.  I *have* set up a situation though where folks can "gift bye" other contestants (giving up one of your own "free weeks" to save stop someone from byeing out - and where you can bring them into your team and pool your byes.  So we will see what happens with that!  The tools are there. How many will pick them up and use them?

Good morning! Today is the day when I'll read people's entries. I've spent the past few days recovering from all things funeral. Not a fun thing but it's over and things are settling. I want to thank people here for their kind words about my mother. She passed peacefully last Wednesday. So needless to say it was stressful dealing with everything. I have another day off from work tomorrow then it's back to some semblance of normalcy. Hope all are doing well!

Thanks. I'm doing ok. I'm much better now that the family drama has subsided and I can do what I need to do without all the interference from those who breeze in and make life difficult and then breeze out again.

Thanks Dan. I really need to get back to some sort of normal life. It's been almost 2 years of stress...not that I can eliminate stress but the overload has taken its toll. Hope you are well!

I hear ya. For me, the stress was mostly job related, and switching employers has made all the difference in the world. Of course, pushing yourself to make positive life changes is easier said than done, but just keep telling yourself, "I can do this!"

My life and space is covered in Jamberry nail wraps, lol! It's my side job and I love running Facebook parties - I've got piles of catalogs, samples, host brochures, and of course my own ever growing stash of wraps, lol! Plus a growing team of recruits. But just my sales bonuses last month alone was enough to cover the cost of dental work (crown) that I needed done, so there's that.

Haven't had time to read yet, planning to start around lunch today!

Word to this. The number of entries is just overwhelming at this stage. If I didn't try to comment on them all, it would be a lot faster, but I feel bad when I don't. I have never yet succeeded in making myself do that. :(

As far as what's covering my life and space—at home? YARN. I'm trying to get everyone's gifts crocheted between now and when I leave for my frozen homeland (Salt Lake—apparently they got over a foot of snow last night!).

I'm pretty happy about this, though, all things told. :)

My life is covered with stuff. I'm trying to decrease my overall stuff and live in a small room, in which I also work, so every few weeks I go to my storage unit, or over to my brother's apartment which is also full of stuff, and pull out a box or two and drag it back here. Then I go through it and theoretically get rid of 50% of it, either throwing out or donating somewhere.

The reality is that some of it gets packed back up for storage, and a significant portion of it is piled on top of other stuff and yet more stuff.

Next week I plan on doing recommendations; this week I'm flustered trying to get everything together for both a weekend jaunt to see my SO and Christmas next week. I have a feeling next Tuesday is going to be filled with frantic shopping. Thank goodness my brother just wants a toaster, it makes life that much easier.
