Green Room, Week 6, Day 3

Good morning!

clauderainsrm asked me to do the Green Room today.  I feel so honored.  ;-)

How's everyone doing?  Surviving winter?  It's a brisk 18 degrees here in beautiful Waukesha, WI.  After digging out my car yesterday afternoon and then mostly digging out my driveway (right up until I fell and decided I was done), I am moving a little slowly today.

Gary told me I could use this opportunity to ask for Cheetos.  Please give me Cheetos?  :-)

Tennessee is forgetting that it's supposed to be winter. It was 71 degrees when I came home from work at 8:30 last night.

I want cold! I want ice! I want snow!

As for other things... I was woken up by a phone call from my Dad this morning. He broke the tie-rod on his car while driving my mom in for her surgery. So he's sans vehicle and we'll be doing some car switching. I'm just grateful that we have two vehicles so we can loan them one for a couple of days.

Yeah, this hasn't been the best week in Casa Amber. But at least I got my entry done. (Silver lining has to be around here somewhere!)

Original crunchy Cheetos are the bestest ever.

When I was in college and I was having a bad day, my roommate would disappear for a few minutes and return with a bag of Cheetos and a Pepsi. :)

It's 30ish here and raining and snow is predicted for tomorrow. Maybe another snow day on Friday. Brain is only half in gear and is whirling on birthday party plans (my son, at tae kwon do, on Saturday) and holiday things (there is not a MOMENT to breathe this weekend between birthday party, family party in CT and possibly TWO basketball games, merp!).

I sooo need a few extra hours in every day at this point. More than a few and I might get to use one for sleeeeep, too.

It's rather mild here in the NYC, in the low 50s, though we haven't seen the sun in days. I'm doing some Christmas shopping today. Last night I finally finished decorating the tree! Holy shit, I'm so on top of this getting ready for Christmas thing! ::groan::

Okay, so it's not quite that bad. I am done the majority of shopping, I just want to pick up the things that are being mailed to people, because I'm paranoid that Amazon won't deliver them in time (the stuff for my kid can come on the 24th, I'm usually up late wrapping gifts anyway). So if something goes wrong at least I can blame myself, which I probably would either way. I like Christmas and all, but dammit, why does it always have to be so much work?

Tomorrow, cookies. Eyurghaghrghuythbhrhgh.

It's mild here, too -- I'd say maybe the 40s -- although there's supposedly a whopper of a storm heading my way later on this afternoon into tonight. No matter, I'm off from work and I don't have to deal with customers and lines and OMG IT'S GOING TO SNOW!!!!

As soon as I get off this chair, it's shower, walk the dogs, visit my mom, then attempt another round of Christmas shopping. Oh, and writing my Idol entry too ;)

It is FREEZING here. I've been bundling up in overcoat, gloves, scarf, the whole works. I've been wearing extra woolies to bed. I've even been running the heater a bit as much as I hate to. BRRRRRRR!

Yeah, it's all the way down to 46-50 degrees F here. Freezing, I say!!

It's in the 40s here in KY, though yesterday I'm pretty sure it got up to at least 70. It's been raining pretty much non-stop (ok, that's just how it seems) and more rain is coming. I'd like a little snow, just for the change (it's too much to hope for, I don't know, CLEAR SKIES).

Oh, and hi. :) I've never participated in LJ Idol as a writer, but I've been reading off and on since, I think, the first season. I LOVE this week's topic. :)

I got woken up by construction peopel sawing metal outside my window. On a morning where I really needed to sleep in.

On the plus side my book is finalyl in stock at all the major online stores, after much drama. So that's a big relief, although I'm making myself stupid checking my amazon ranking against competing books.

I am a fat caterpillar cheesy poofs kinda gal. They are messier, but I like the way they crunch and then sort of shrink when you bite them.

Kithan, I notice you like peanut butter cups too? My fave!! Have you had the Reeses Big Cup? They are big enough that it actually makes you feel like a kid again when you eat the things!

Georgia = 83 degrees yesterday? It's disgusting! I had to pull short sleeves and capris out of storage for my daughter to wear to school this morning. Christmas time should be chilly!

Same in PA. Monday was snow everywhere with the temp around 25. Yesterday was 65 degrees. Today it's rainy and in the 40s... Tomorrow brings "Icy mix." Oh joy...

I'm looking to buy a "new" (read "used") Chevy Yukon. My little Cavalier doesn't like snow anymore. =(

I've been lost for the last 24 hours in a deluge of 1. Photography print work 2. Election stuff and 3. emails concerning a fellow homeschooler of mine that lost everything in a fire this week. It's awful. :( So here it is, Wed... I'm not further than I was on any of my projects than on Monday and I'm heartbroken over the story of this family.
