Green Room Week 6 Day 2

Good morning.

Still looking really close in the run-off race.

I've mentioned elsewhere that sometime during the first couple of weeks that I discovered that I had a list in my head of who I thought were going to be in the Top 3. Not just one list, 3 of them. Since then I have mentioned that I came up with a 4th list, none of them repeating any of the same names.

I also mentioned that even though I have never been right this far out about the finalists, and ultimately that I only have 1 vote, that I wasn't going to be mentioning who those people were, because I didn't want to influence people for or against them. It was more a gut feeling than anything else after all.

I did however promise that as they were eliminated, and I was proved wrong, that I would point out that I had been wrong.

That means today I'm here telling you that with a_singularity's withdrawal, I was wrong about one of the very first Top 3 list that I made.

Really sorry to see her go.

But that does open up a spot for one of the rest of you to move up, in an abstract, probably incorrect, virtual list located in my head!!!*G*

I'm sure that my flight(s) are going to be delayed due to the freezing rain here in Wichita, and the snow in Denver. Yippee!

I'm tired. I punished myself last night by MAKING A TURKEY.

That's right. Work gave everyone one for Thanksgiving and I'd taken it out of the freezer on Friday, promising myself that I'd make it on Sunday. That didn't even happen a little, so last night I punished myself for procrastinating by forcing myself to make it, which meant I woke up every couple hours all night long to check on it and take care of it.

What did I have for breakfast? THANKSGIVING DINNER.

I'd called my grandmother at 8:30pm last night as I was putting it in the oven for cooking tips and she told me how strange I was for about half an hour. Then, when I said I'd probably just leave it on the counter to cool because I didn't want it in the refrigerator warming the temp and spoiling all the food, she suggested I put it outside in my car to cool where it'd be cooler.

Could you see me walking outside in a coat, boxers and flip flops at 2am with a freshly-cooked 20 pound turkey, place it in the passenger seat of my car, then return to the house?

Guys, I'm weird. You want to part of me.

Struggled to wake up, sleep is always such a better option the draggins ones butt out of bed to go to work. Now that I am up and almost out the door making a mental to do list of things I need to get done/or started today.

Beyond that just waiting for tomorrow and our firms Christmas party.

Today sucks. It's Inauguration Day in Frankfort and there's a huge parade for the new governor of Kentucky. And my little shop is within walking distance of the Capitol. Not sure yet how I'm going to get to work since they're closing the roads!

This morning is going to be some Christmas and grocery shopping, followed by some cookie baking when I get home. Then it'll be off to work and either hell because of the Christmas party fiasco or joy because my supervisor managed to get it straightened out. All in all, it should prove to be an interesting day.

I have a doctor's appt at 10am, a flight to Maine at 2:30pm, and dinner with my parents at 6:00pm.

You know, I was thinking before I read this that I actually don't have any predictions about who may or may not win. I have my favorites and some of them are "front-runners" and many more are not. But regardless of positions, I couldn't say who I might think may make it through the long haul.

Anyhoo, my day is super busy. Guide dog training starts up again today and goes on for the rest of the week. We have LOTS to do. [As I've been chronicling very much in detail here (http://otty.us). (Seriously I think I'm more boring there than I am on my regular blog. It's kind of pathetic.)]
