The irony is that I'm not particularly a coffee lover.  I didn't start drinking it until I had my first official postgrad job and only because there was no tea at the time and I needed to wake up, lol.

I'm not really a coffee drinker, but I have tried it with the butter and everything. It's great but my stomach doesn't appreciate me drinking any coffee. Tea, yes, thank goodness. Thanks for the add, btw.

LOL - well, clearly somebody has got to drink the tea. Wrong season here for tea - it is only consumed here when the weather is hot and muggy - and the tea is ice cold and sweet.

I'm supposed to care about Force Awakens? I honestly don't. Hateful Eight sure... and others, but Force Awakens still doesn't call to me as an immediate thing (and I watch Star Wars Rebels and read the current Marvel comics... I just see no need to see the movie anytime soon.)

I also still haven't even watched Daredevil, so no Jessica Jones for me for awhile.

Again, too many movies and other shows to binge on.

I was thinking, this morning, that we all struggle to become rich. For those of us who make it, we spend a few happy years, but the rest of it is spent throwing away our dignity, and our integrity, until all that's left is someone we don't recognize. We pretend that we're happy, play at it, even, but that's just the substance talking, the drugs, the booze, the cheap sex. Family and commitment falls by the way side, until it all catches up with us and it's a heart attack from the stress, or the fancy wife, with the fancy boob job leaves, or we're under indictment.

Sometimes I think the simpler life is so much better, spent with my family, and my integrity, in home that's more than enough for us, with a few toys, but nothing too extravagant. So I'll probably never own a summer house, or my own yacht, and I'll probably never open my own French winery, but... I'll probably never have to worry about the IRS beating down my door, either, so..

(Having just re-watched Wolf on Wall Street this morning!)

Grandpa's been having mini-strokes for a while. He's an ox and just shakes them off. And, frankly, it's hard to tell sometimes if he is having a bad day or if he's had another stroke.

Thankfully, G dragged his cranky "I'm okay!" ass to the hospital.

I'm so scared. Granma's birthday is coming up. It's long been said in my family that he wouldn't last long without her.

If he makes this his one grand gesture of devotion, I will find a way to kick his ass in the afterlife.
