Wow, almost forty-five minutes between Gary's comment and mine?!? Where is everybody?

Somebody in another community was saying that the annual warmer-weather-in-this-hemisphere exodus seems to be happening earlier this year. Two people on my FL are complaining about particular f*ck ups related to LJ's latest upgrade which are affecting their ability to post/comment. Maybe it's a combination of both?

Oh, GR, next time I paint I promise it won't be pale green. Pale green is for hospitals. And there I was thinking I'd made a SPRING IS FINALLY HERE! statement...

Depends on the shade of pale green, doesn't it? I am personally partial to mint green. Otherwise, I guess Kelly green can work. Really, it depends on what the trim color is.

Well, see, I was trying for the mint green effect the last time :points to far wall: but I neglected to see how the color reacted in all kinds of light. At this time of the day it's more sickly green than mint, you know?

Kelly green could work, but it has to be a shade or two lighter or else the GR will be a cave :erk:

One of the Sacramento Bee's readers suggested that the bill might be satire-- to point out how easy it is to usurp the initiative process for invalid things.

I would sure hope so. But OTOH, the rabid ugliness dripping from that proposal would seem to say otherwise. Because you could achieve satire with an initiative along the lines of something like "Cattle transportation will be hereafter limited to movement by river barge or hot-air balloon" and it would be much clearer and utterly inoffensive to everyone.

I'm beginning to think it's me. I mean, I used deodorant this morning and brushed my teeth...

My work schedule switched around so now I'm mostly working straight days with the occasional baking shift thrown in for good measure. The latest GRs have been happening while I'm at work and are mostly dead by the time I get home :/

However, I am on vacation this week. Or stay-cation. It was imposed on me by TPTB because this is one of the slow periods. The Boyz are thrilled that they're now getting two walks a day!

On a different note, we have a "secure print" option on our printers, so that we can send stuff to be printed, but until we put in our code, the items are held in memory - this way, other folks don't make off with our stuff. So every time I go to the printer and put in my code, and hit the "Release All" button, my brain says, "RELEASE THE KRAKEN!"

I have managed to not scream it out loud, though. ;)

But never to this extent. Especially during a finale.

I think people are just tired. But of course, this doesn't make me go "OMG! I need to put out a mini-season!" :D

So a break is definitely in order, and hopefully people will be more excited when that happens.

I would have said Season 3, but I checked the sign up sheet and don't see her. So I guess it was Season 4.

I home gamed Season 3 after discovering a few people on my FL who were playing that season (I had no idea Idol existed until then). My first official season was Season 4.
