It came down to a couple votes.

Which is the way it should be with these four.

But, unfortunately, someone had to leave right before the finals.

That someone is crisp_sobriety, who came out of Last Chance Idol and managed to battle it out week after week, producing some amazing work in the process.

I can't even say "I hope you Home Game for the rest of the season", because the "rest of the season" is just a couple days away from ending. But I will say that I really hope that we will continue to see you around these parts, not only as a contestant, but as a community member, because I think you really brought a lot of good things to the table.

I have been amazed at the consistency, creativity, and overall quality of your work this season, crisp_sobriety! This has been an awesome experience, and I'd like to thank everyone for reading and leaving such wonderful comments --and, of course, for keeping me in this long. A lot of the pieces that came out of this are ones I'm proud of, and I've learned so much from being immersed in so much creativity and talent every week when I read YOUR work. I have truly been struck speechless by so many of your entries. Your imagination is fierce and your skills formidable. Honestly, I've said it before and will continue to say it, your In The Garden piece is publishable and will be a story I remember for all of my days.

You seem to be an upbeat balanced person and I do wish we could have gotten to know you more! I hope you become a journaler and I really really really hope you return to Idol to share more of your astonishing work!

Not everyone might agree, and it might not always be obvious, but a lot of my entries were personal, in some manner. It's the only way I really know how to talk to people. I hope that you can know me through those. :)

I just wanted to let you know that you are amazing and I have loved your writing (and you!) since the moment you stepped in with Second Chance, and I even cried out a little when I saw your name on the eliminations roster. I was in public, even! In front of some old coworkers!

I remember you being very welcoming and encouraging back when I was in my first round of LCI and I was flailing in the workroom about not being able to write this fast. That meant a lot to me, truly. :)

It certainly isn't! I'm more than happy with Top 4. Hell, I was thrilled to make it past the Gatekeepers, and that was ages ago.
