Green Room - Week 42 - Day 1
Mar. 17th, 2015 10:23 amHappy St Patrick's Day! What could be more "St Patricks Day" than a GREEN room?
Or maybe it's UnHappy Day After the Results: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/847519.html depending on your mood.
At this point, everyone has fans and supporters - and anyone leaving is going to be rough - and everyone is hoping that it's going to be rougher for people they *aren't* backing! :)
Which is normal. People get emotionally attached and everyone has their own bias.
MY bias is that we have a great season and a winner I can point to and say "They did a great job!", as well as someone who is willing to email with me and talk me off a ledge or two. :)
I want someone who is going to be supportive of Idol in the future.
I think all 4 of the remaining contestants are people who will be that.
(Heck, I think any of the Top 20 would have been good picks. But the voters have been making some tough decisions over the last few weeks, that I'll be honest - I'm glad I didn't have to make those calls!)
There's one more topic between now and the end! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/847866.html
I just put up a Home Game thread, so if anyone wants to link their own pieces - they can! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/847888.html
The great
joeymichaels has just posted a tribute entry for the
walkertxkitty memorial thread: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/845386.html You should definitely check it out, and add one of your own.

and yes, Kristin has continued to win, so check her out again on Jeopardy tonight! It's always thrilling to see someone you know do well!
(btw - tomorrow is our 1,600th Green Room! Who is bringing the cake?)

Date: 2015-03-17 03:33 pm (UTC)They have been picking up in the afternoon. But usually only if someone says something controversial. Don't worry, I'm sure someone will. ;)

Date: 2015-03-17 08:30 pm (UTC)Because people.
Usually the complaints are about each other, or one "group" of people who don't care for another "group".
I like all the "groups", as people, and as writers.
This season has been really long, and emotions are high, so things are bound to get a little tense at times.
I'm sure it's all stuff that will blow over.

Date: 2015-03-17 08:37 pm (UTC)Honestly, I'd rather they vent to me than it fester or just going off.
If you ever need to vent, I'm here.

Date: 2015-03-17 05:16 pm (UTC)Heck, those quick-fire stories might have been my doom. I spent energy on them and didn't win immunity once, so while you can't help hedging your bets by trying... I think they did me more harm than good!
I'm trying not to think about cake. There are cupcakes in the snack cube at work, but they're vanilla, so I can overlook them. OTOH, I put my lunch in a different fridge at least every other day to try to avoid the allure of the snack cube. Damn my weakness!
