Result - Week 40

We've come a long way together.

Now we are almost at the end of the road. Which means that every step forward is going to involve a huge sacrifice to get there.

We are losing another contestant this week.

But before we do, the Jury has made their final decision - saving one person and guaranteeing a spot in the Final Four for someone else. (because they are the only one left who has not previously held immunity)

It was back and forth for quite some time between the last two remaining. But then, around mid-day today, a lead opened up and held.

The Jury selected lrig_rorrim to receive immunity.

Which means, as long as suesniffsglue makes this week's deadline, she is immune! So congratulations to her as well.

Which means we only have the sad news left to deliver.

With that immunity, that means the person with the next fewest votes will be leaving us.

Goodbye to an amazing writer, someone that I'm personally really glad that I got the chance to read this season (and I know a lot of other people are as well): watching_ships

Thank you so much for everything this season - I really hope that we will see you in the Home Game, and hanging around to cheer on your favorites, as this thing comes in for a crash landing!

Oh wow! I feel like time and again, my bacon has been saved. I'm not out of this frying pan and into the fire yet, and I'm really grateful to the jury for keeping me in. (Of course, I may yet be wailing and gnashing my teeth depending on what this week brings. Heh.) Thank you!

Lesson learned though. Complain about not having enough time to work on your novel and you'll lose your job and get kicked out of Idol in the span of a week ;)
