Results - Week 36

With two people leaving us, and one entering - we have reached our Top 10!

(it's only taken a few weeks of floating just above it to get here)

But that also means that two contestants who have been on this amazing journey with us are leaving.

The good news is that they will be joining the Jury, where they will have a say in who receives immunity each week. Hopefully they will also play the Home Game for these last couple of weeks before everyone else says goodbye as well.

Before I get to "who is leaving us", I need to handle the "Who isn't".

Because the Jury once again made the difficult decision of "Who do we want to save?"

This week that person was watching_ships! Congratulations.

This did not impact the poll results, for one of the first times in a few weeks.

Which means that the two leaving us are, without a doubt, fan favorites. (then again, I think everyone left in the competition at this point more than qualifies for that title)

That is VERY much how I feel about Idol as well -- I've been able to pull more and better stories out since I started. Really, a winnar is all of us, for having an impetus and audience for self-improvement.

We've had an incredibly strong group of writers these last several weeks, and anything could have happened.

This is so nice to hear, thank you. And the "triad of torment"-- what a great phrase. That turned out, with the one immunity and the bringing-back powers, to give all three of us our chance to succeed or fail in the larger voting block again. I didn't make it, but this feels a much better way to go out, and both of my buddies are still in. :)

Plus, I went out with a worthy writer whose work I've really enjoyed discovering this season!

Thank you very much! I'd hoped to make it a little longer, but this past week's story was not one of my best. I always go out of an elimination feeling like there were more moving or weird or funny stories still in me, but sometimes the prompt doesn't work as well for me as I'd like.

Glad you're still in it, and you've brought such nice support and enthusiasm to the game. You've done us both proud!
