How are you doing today?

Had a chance to read any of day 1's entries? Any that stand out?

For people on the edge of "what am I going to do?" I'll let you know that you will probably want to strangle me (more than you do now) the rest of the month. Plan on ending the year by throwing out some soft balls to you. . . probably shouldn't tell you that, but hey, consider it an early Hanukkah present!
Figure given how hectic this month is, I might as well go a bit easy... which just means I'll get to throw in a couple fast balls and change-ups in 2008 to throw you off guard again!*g*

I read a good part of them yesterday and they were all really good. Reading them actually helped me with getting the brain thinking more about the topic and how to approach it. I have something written, just need to tweak and get it to a point where I like it.

I've been reading and I found lacombe's entry hilarious. I was hoping someone would bring the Catholic church into this. The entry was done so well, too, that it was a double bonus!

I need to get my entry done so I can read the other ones!!! I always wait to read until I've posted, but I read one by accident yesterday (in fact, I'd read half of it and was laughing my arse off before I realized that oops, I was reading an entry). I love chazari's sense of humour.

I've only just barely missed reading the others on my flist so far and I'm really anxious to, so I'd better get writing this morning. Just need to wrestle the thoughts into organization!

And can I just say that as much as I'm looking forward to the spins and ups and downs and all the rest of the rollercoaster images I can come up with, I'm also incredibly nervous about what you're up to with shaking things up this week, Gary!

Now to figure out how to get work done and not-work done at the same time.

Morning all! I haven't written a syllable on this topic yet. I just can't decide where I want to go with it. Sigh.

We're taking the kids to Atlanta to see Santa today. Phipp's Plaza is the "fancy" mall up there. The one with a Tiffany's and Armani and all that? Anyway, I really think their appointment-only Santa is the guy from the North Pole, just stopping by the South to see all the rich kids. He looks amazing, with a real white beard and everything. So, we make the drive each year because I am a freak about realistic Santas.

The Santa at our local mall is scary - he is more like Rummy Santa, or Homeless Santa or maybe just Bad Santa, although Billy Bob was much sexier.

Phipp's also has the best soft pretzels on the planet in the food court, yummm.

Ah Phipp's. I remember it well. North Lake Mall (or whatever they are calling it) use to have a great realistic Santa a number of years ago.

I lucked into a good Santa this year early in the season so we got the visit done early.

the cat keeps looking out the window, as if to say, "what is this?" I haven't let her out yet, but I have a feeling she'll have something to say about it. She usually does.

I'm really glad college is over after this week- I'm going to be able to really sit down and enjoy everyone's entries without having something loom overhead!

I killed my fancy computer yesterday. I'm an architecture student in my final 2 weeks of a critical semester. I am freaking out. This is a great topic, but I don't know if I am going to make it, this development has thrown a MAJOR wrench in the works.

I usually write my entries from a clawfoot tub, not a computer lab.

I think Monday has decided to come back and hit me twice - this day is off to a crappy start already :S Hopefully it'll get better though.

I haven't written a syllable on this entry yet. I had an idea but I read somewhere in the green room last night that ewok_626 had the same idea so I have no idea what the hell I'll end up doing. I'm leaning toward a bye at this point.

And so my writing is not going well for the speaking engagement... ugh. Fifteen minutes... ugh... and I have these great ideas until I try to put them down and then *poof* they sound like junk.

At this rate I don't know when I'll finish. And to make it worse no one in my house is cooperating. In fact, they are doing the exact opposite. I spent so much time cleaning yesterday while pondering what to write so that we could get our decorations up and do our holiday baking and etc... and this morning it looks worse than it did after a month of NaNo non-cleaning. What the heck?

So right now... I'm just in the mode to be grumpy and ranty. Not a good place to write ANYTHING. So I thought I'd come see hwat's going on in the green room. ANyone having a better day than me?

I'm going to blame PMS. HAHA Maybe then people will know to back away and throw me chocolate.

It's a good day so far. I have major responsibilities today and tomorrow but after that I get to celebrate! And in a mere week and a half I get to "graduate" (get my master's degree, but I'll still be here to the end of time getting my PhD). I can't wait! As a result I'm probably much more cheerful today than I should be /woot :P
