Week 4 Voting!

A few words from clauderainsrm:

Just about a month ago we came together to find out who become the NEXT LJ IDOL. and of course to give me cookies. Both of which are very worthy endeavors.

As we inch and/or leap toward the Top 125 the competition is starting to heat up. Anyone seeing the ties last week and the run offs decided by – at most – 2 votes can attest to that. The top spot vote wise in Tribe 3 last week even changed hands! Clearly anything can, and will happen at any given week!

So it becomes even more important to make sure you are supporting the people who want to see continue in this competition.

This week the contestants were asked to find an article on a current event and blog about it. Not an uncommon thing to see in someone’s LJ. But here and now, you – the voter – have the opportunity to do that uncommon thing, decide who is going to remain a Current Event in LJ Idol, and who is not.

The person with the lowest votes in each tribe will be eliminated.

Voting opens now and ends Monday at 1:00pm EST.

Trib 1's definitely looking thin. All I have to say is, thank goodness I"m nt in tribe 1 now, and thank goodness I'm not in 3. There's major major competition in 3 at the moment in my opinion, of course, there's major competition everywhere in this thing. Bring it!

well, I think in tribe 3 only 1 out of 50 or so is being eliminated in tribe 2 it's 1 out of 44 or so... meaning tribe 3 is probably the safest place to be at least this week... assuming we're just eliminating 1 per tribe still

oh and now my whole family knows about lj idol and ask me every week what the topic is and want to know what i'm writing about... so people who don't even have lj's are keeping track of the competition, lol

I'm seriously nervous with how small Tribe 1 is. How long until there are only two tribes left? How long until it's just three or four in that tribe going against each other? This is not good for my nerves.

Looks like Tribe 1 needs to be merged into the other two... it hardly seems fair that those folks have a much higher chance of going home if TPTB stick to one from each tribe. :(

Tribe 1 in general are folks with smaller vote bases who have yet to pull in larger numbers... to keep in it they are going to have to step up the game to compete regardless of how small the tribe gets. They would be picked off in any other tribe. Putting them together gives them more a chance to grow into one of the other tribes.

Sooner or later everyone is going to be in one tribe after all.

Let me ask the obvious question.

Suppose this competition comes down to someone that has 20 friends on their friends list vs. someone that has 400. How in the hell do you plan to make that a fair competition?
