One other piece of news - as I said I would be doing, I am in the process of updating the Patreon page to reflect us moving forward passed Season 8. I've added a "Mini-Season" option where anyone coming in at the $5 level will get an automatic spot +1 (that they can give to a friend). Most unexpected good thing: to replace my stolen kindle (and temporarily to replace my stolen laptop) hubby got me an iPad 2 Mini! Woot! My kindle books have already been downloaded to it and I'm going to get a case for it tonight, yay!

Catching up. What a total drag that you're having to slog through this unpleasantness. We had a house break-in once and it was TERRIBLE. Are you dealing with any identity theft? Are your stolen goods being covered by insurance? *hugs*

Our hotel room was broken into when we were on vacation, ugh. They got a bunch of electronics, cameras, and other odds and ends. No identity theft that we are aware of (hubby got his iPad and computers locked down and keychains disconnected). I changed some passwords. We are waiting to hear back from the hotel's insurance, otherwise we will file a claim against our homeowners insurance and probably recoup about half of the loss after the deductible is met. Thanks for asking!

lj idol actually was the most unexpected good thing to happen to me this year! i don't know what that says about my year, but at least i got a lot of writing out of it.... and i got to meet (for various definitions of "meet") some pretty interesting people.

I think the most unexpected good thing to happen to me this year was a surprising collaboration between friends. We're going to make some neat things together, and I'm startled and happy and slightly baffled as to how it all happened. Heh.
