Green Room - Week 28 - Day 4
Nov. 17th, 2014 10:28 amToday's special guests in the Green Room include: Bill Cosby, who will be showing everyone how to properly mix drinks and a fashion show by Dr Matt Taylor, who may give us an update on the current situation with the comet-landing a little later, if he has time!
Welcome guys! Nice of you to make it!

Note: For some reason, it appears that both of our special guests have cancelled. It guess it's just us today!

Oh well. We have a topic: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/805095.html
and a Work Room: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/805341.html
and a Home Game/Killing Floor: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/805793.html that could end up impacting the results this week!
We also have "What did you do this weekend?"
So, how was it? What did you do?

Date: 2014-11-17 03:30 pm (UTC)We did a little Xmas shopping, I worked at the fit club and tutored a kid on Saturday. Made veggie quesadillas last night for dinner.
Bengals won. Florida State won. Life is good. AW

Date: 2014-11-17 05:52 pm (UTC)My mother turned 89, which she neither looks nor feels. The Oregon kids were able to be there, the California kids no, but she had a really nice day. :)

From:You can tell when I'm exhausted because I start talking a lot.
Date: 2014-11-17 06:04 pm (UTC)Well, it's not like being trapped in a beach house on a desert island with people who abused me throughout childhood is going to be particularly restful. *grumbles* And they're only trying to bond with me now because they think I'll be making six figures later in life and they want to get on that gravy train. They didn't give a fuck about me when I didn't have my shit together.
(Also my parents work at a factory and I have no idea where they get the money to go on these vacations. I know they have a bit of money to throw around, they've just always been awfully cagey about how much and where it comes from.)
(Also I don't WANT to go to the Caribbean, there's nothing to DO there *whines* I wanted to see if there was one of those little med schools there so I could get access to the libraries and possibly witness some dissections or surgeries, and therefore get some studying done over break AS GOD INTENDED, but they picked an island without a med school. I will have to make my own fun.)
Re: You can tell when I'm exhausted because I start talking a lot.
Date: 2014-11-17 07:59 pm (UTC)I don't know how you stand living with them, though I know affordability has much to do with it.
You can sunscreen to the hilt, and bask with good books, and go snorkeling. Sometimes a little relaxation is good, especially given how exhausting med school is. :)

Date: 2014-11-17 08:32 pm (UTC)Otherwise it was a pretty quiet weekend here.
There's a home game thread! After being lonely in there last week, and one not going up with the topic I figured they were done. But it's back and I feel like I have to carry the home game flag for some reason - despite the fact that I have nothing started. Hrmmm . . .

Date: 2014-11-17 08:34 pm (UTC)He wanted a blue jay on his birthday cake. I don't know why, since we're in New Zealand, but he really likes birds and probably saw it in one of his books. I think I did an OK job.
