Last Chance Idol - Results Week 3

There are some times when things just work themselves out.

I had announced that there would be eliminations. But then, due to circumstances, I canceled those. But I still said that I would be giving people the opportunity to move up.

I also mentioned that due to this, Last Chance would probably be going on for a little longer. It was an act of mercy in a time where there seems to be a shortage.

However, the voters gave me a completely unexpected opportunity.

A chance to keep the numbers where they "should" be in LCI, while doing an act of unprecedented kindness.

They gave us a decent sized tie. If I said "everyone in the tie stays where they are", we would only have 3 people with the chance to move forward. if I said "everyone in the tie can move forward" we would have 9 who were eligible. Which was the same number we could have been losing from LCI regardless!

So you know what - I'm going with the latter.

The contestants who have 24 hours to let me know - at clauderainsrm@gmail.com - if they want to move up into the main competition FOR WEEK 25 (entry due this Monday) are

As always, if you DON'T tell me anything, the default is that you WILL move into the main competition.

While you are being uncharacteristically kind, could you pretty please establish a place, like maybe the poll post, where you name the people who did take you up on joining the big pool? Because, as far as I can tell, we're only getting who is eligible, and then guessing the rest of the way, unless you're editing something somewhere that doesn't send me a notification.

Yeah, but then, instead of me sitting down to update my spreadsheet, it's like every time a poll comes out, my spreadsheet is wrong, and I have to figure it out.

I started updating the list here. (for those who didn't notice)

I haven't updated before - because the focus was more on the people making the decision and allowing them to keep it as private/public as they wanted for strategy purposes.

Most of them don't seem to have a problem with it though, so I'll deal with that on a case by case basis.

Thanks! I wouldn't have noticed, because after I initially read a post, I track it and from there I only read comments from my inbox. LJ doesn't tell me you've edited the post.

Not sure what good strategy-wise keeping it quiet would be. It'd only be quiet until the next poll comes out. ::shrug::

There's a 24-hour window for people to decide. If they see everyone else is going over, they could decide to go with the flow *or* hang back for one more week to have a better chance of surviving.

If they don't know which way everyone else is going, they are left completely to their own instincts. (your opponents *not* knowing what your move is going to be gives you an upper hand. Or at least that's something that has been mentioned to me in the past. Not saying it's particularly good or bad strategy, just that was what I've been told)
