Green Room Week 3 - The Extended Holiday Weekend Edition

I'm really thankful for LJ and the people that I have found on line.

I know that I wouldn't have gotten through my divorce without it. Heck, I probably wouldn't be friends with my ex without it. Even though it threatened that situation more than enough times! But the trial was good, in the long run.

I've made some really wonderful people, and with the "LJ Idol Tour" this summer I was actually able to meet a lot of them face to face, and I am certainly thankful for that! It really did change my life for the better, as well as being able to check off one of my long term dreams and being one step closer to the next one!!

I'm thankful for my mom and her boyfriend Tony.

I'm thankful for my girls and for the boy. A "furry and feathery pet daddy" couldn't wish for better. They are responsible for getting me through the day to day and at times giving me a reason to get up in the morning.

But, right now, I'm damn sure thankful for you guys.

Not just this season's competitors, but each and every one of you who have supported LJ Idol from the "hey, I have an idea!" stage on my own LJ to a field of 154 contestants and apparently it being mentioned in some sort of forum at Philcon this year! (or maybe I got confused and it was afterward, but heck, ANYONE mentioning Idol in a positive light - other than me - is more than I could have ever dreamed happening.)

I haven't done Thanksgiving in YEARS, despite my mom always being "You have any friends who might alone and want to come over?".

I don't even watch the Parade! Back when I was a kid I would watch it from a 40-100 feet above out a huge window of a conference room from where my mother worked or something I knew from my acting career, but that was when I was a kid and gave a damn.

I'll admit, those huge balloons are cool though. I should see who was new for 2007. Shrek...okay... um... who the hell is Abby Kadabby, this is what I get for not having children to watch Sesame Street with I guess?!? and Hello City Superhero?!? WHAT!?!?

I wish I was home sitting down to a nice huge meal with my whole family, after which all the men would fall asleep on the couch watching football and all the women would sit around the table shooting the breeze! :)
