therealljidolI'm pleased to announce that the results are in from today's election.
Primary ballots are being cast elsewhere - but in the only election that truly matters, the 'Merican citizens with full voting rights (those who live in 'Merica, with the name Gary) have overwhelmingly re-elected me as despot!
My next term of office will continue the promise that I set forth in this campaign, to rule with an iron fist and smash all enemies before me.
For those who worked hard on my campaign - thank you. For those who just sat around and did not (as usual) you will be returned to the dungeons where you will turn in your entry before the deadline this evening: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/773244.html

If you're working a full 8 hour day you have to take two breaks and a lunch. Don't try to skip out -- they regularly check the timeclock for everyone's punches.

If Nick isn't working, it's actually pretty great because Nick can watch him until he gets on the bus at about noon while I go to sleep, and then I can get to sleep until about 3:45. But Bob and I are both so used to the morning routine we used to have that we're thrown off, a little. :)
Ah, see, I worked at a place where you had to at least punch out for the 30 minute lunch before, if you were working at least 6 hours. But the 15 minute breaks were paid breaks. My current place of employment? There's only two of us in the middle of the night, and their break policy is basically, "If you're there for 8 hours, you get 30 minutes of break time. Doesn't have to be all at once, and it has to be when it wouldn't disrupt store processes." Which is what happens when either one of us goes on break for longer than 5 minutes. At any point in time during our shift.
Ergo, Cassy and I usually eat while running around. :) Sometimes we sit down but we both watch the cameras when we do and come back out onto the floor when a customer walks in.

I've had to do a lot of research, and hoping that I got it right this time around.

Date: 2014-08-26 05:46 pm (UTC)I'm the key who FOR YEARS refused to use them at all. Then, when I did, I'd go old school with a and for places, like LJ, that read that as code, I started with the *g* for "grin".
(Some people look it for "giggles" apparently)
Communicating with an 11 year old though, texts are full of them - and I know she will get a kick out of seeing me send them to her in return. And so...
