Green Room Week 3 Day 2

*yawn* Good morning.

I've been having the strangest dreams the last couple of mornings.

Dreaming about Idol is nothing new of course, I usually go to bed playing out various scenarios regardless. But the last couple of days are the first when I started the whole "half asleep dreams".

You know that moment before you are actually awake? You know you have to get up soon, but most of you is asleep.

I use my old cell phone as my alarm clock and lately, starting about 15 minutes before the first alarm goes off (and I hit snooze) the past couple mornings I have been "receiving text messages" from various players tipping me off to the Central American Government who LJ had farmed out their poll running capabilities to and how the votes were somehow being tied into the drug and human slave trade. I would receive these text messages, but whenever I would try to text them back I'd get a message saying everything was ok from someone who's number just said "Central America" (as if that were a country).

Of course since it's my OLD cell phone I can't get text messages on it, it's not connected. Much less be able to send any to these whistleblowers (who only used their LJ names, but were supposedly contestants).

This cycle tends to continue even as I hit "snooze", which I recall this morning I somehow thought was going to "reset the poll". Somewhere in the haze I manage to get up the rest of the way and shake my head out of whatever was left over as I convince myself that it didn't actually happen.

But to those contestants out there who have vanished due to being picked off one by one by a Central American/Six Apart cabal, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My day...
Just started really as I slept a bit to well, the cats were so quiet this morning (thank the gods), and just being lazy otherwise. Now getting dressed and ready to head out the door and hoping for a quick day. I want Wednesday to come so I can get the heck out of town.

Has anyone ever told you that you were weird, Gary?

My day has been relaxing to far. I have cleaned my sewing room, made my bed, and caught up on my e-mail.

Oh, and I have "banana fosters" for coffee today, because Blues is out of town (he doesn't like "weird flavors" as he puts it).

I have a ton of stuff to do to get ready for my kids arrival tonight: dry cleaning, food shopping, laundry, bank, etc. But I will be popping in and out to check up on the rest of you!

I have the quarterly planning meeting at the library in 50 minutes so I'll get to spend two glorious hours in Barry and Kell's company :) I need to go get dressed instead of hanging out in the green room but it's just so tempting!!

I love dreams...once I was dressed in french attire ala Marie Antoinette when a small dapper young boy runs up to me, pulls on my skirt, and when I look down at his fresh and eager face, he opened his mouth and went "BBBBBUUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" and it sounded just like my alarm clock!

Which of course, it was.

My alarm clock was about seven people in lab coats invading the room to examine my girlfriend. I now have a new worst way to wake up.

To those who don't know or are wondering, my gf had an operation yesterday--it seems to have been completely successful.

Now we're in morning TV hell, waiting for somebody to let us out.

That definitely sounds worse than the time I was doing a sleep study. I had all these electrodes glued to my head (through my hair!), as well as on my legs, chest, and arms.

Just as I was finally falling into a deep sleep (as shown by their measurements) it was time for me to "wake up" and leave. I was supposed to have seven hours of sleep for them to observe. I may have gotten one or two in there.

My post is half way finished. I'm not as confident today as I was yesterday. It's long. What if people don't want to take the time to read it?

I read long posts, if they are broken into short statements. The thing could be three pages long, but if it is engaging and easy to read on a laptop screen, I will stick with it.

The people who do not use paragraph breaks ... my poor old eyes start to glaze over, and it gets tough to keep my place.

It also helps if, in a really long post, someone uses bold or italics (or both) to make initial statements stand out.

I had nightmares of storms invading my house and striking my family down with lightning. Yes, really. My subconscious is disturbing when it's stressed.

Today I am settling in to be the Marketing Department (really, I'm a programmer, but we have no Marketing Dept and I'm adept at using design software so guess who gets the job). I'd rather be home making icons, because I'm in the mood for a bit of Zen Photoshop usage.

My office is supposed to open at 7. I stroll in at 9, find everything locked up tight, time sensitive work from last night not submitted to the home office, computers frefusing to function and various employees demanding things of me I can't provide in part because I can't fix software with error messages in a langauge (German) I can't read.

Very intriguing. My day is definitely not so fascinating or newsworthy!! However, I'm well on my to being packed for tomorrow's trip to NJ. Woot! Doing vast quantities of laundry in order to have clothes so we don't terrorize the inlaws with nudie us. That might kill someone. HAHA

I'm also preparing some photographs to send to a friend. She's going to attempt to sell them so I can make some Christmas spending cash. Woot on Christmas spending cash. :) I need it so bad with the impending work on the van.

Today I have to call around and try to find out what to do about my broken van. Yuck. I am going to leave it parked here while we go out of town. So we get to all pile into a base model standard transmission Mazda Protege. Fun fun. Five of us in a tiny car. Now this is road tripping in style! It's all good, the foreign exchange student needs to see a REAL road trip, right?

How about everyone else? You guys getting ready for exciting times? Working like a slave to make sure that you don't fall behind over the holiday? Enjoying your last day before the kidlets are home from school for almost a week? Whatever it is, may your day be filled with good luck and no bad news!!! For the last four weeks, there have been guys cleaning the brickface of the building next door. For the past week or so, they've been right outside my window making all sorts of noise at all sorts of ungodly early hours. I'm more disturbed by being able to look out & occasionally see them. It's totally throwing off my intricately-timed tightly-spaced masturbation schedule.

I once again slipped to that universe wherein I'm still with the great love of my life. I was no doubt aimed to it directly because last night, I borrowed someone's Myspace login to take a look at someone else's pictures...& then decided to go look at hers as well. And as usual, caused myself all sorts of consternation. So.
