I'm back!

You can come out of your self-imposed exile, hiding from the terror of kithan. Now it's OK to come out and bask in the warmth and happiness that is me!

Or is that flee from the terror? It's one of those things!

(Granted, I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of those missing *would* have posted by the deadline, if I hadn't extended it. But some of those people are known for getting in just under the gun anyway, so I'm betting that they are just taking a little more time with their entries with that extra time.)

Vacation was great. Or rather, it was like three or four different vacations - since we went from the capitol of Ohio and city life to theme park life of Cedar Point, followed by a day trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, to the middle of nowhere (where I am from) where we ended up behind/passing horses and buggies on the road.

So five weeks ago there was a stray cat in our backyard. At first we thought it was a neighborhood cat who was just chilling, and we went on about our day and went out and did things.

We came home hours and hours later, and the cat was still there and in the same spot. So we took out some food and water, and the cat meowed at us and ran up for pets and cuddles, and we brought her inside. She was obviously underfed and very hungry.

And the next day we realized that she was pregnant.

So we got her plenty of dry and wet kitten food and a couple of boxes and kept her in her own private room, and this morning we woke up to three brand new kittens. :)

I've been working 6 days/week. There's a whole brouhaha going on with one of our competitors (it might have made national news by now, I don't know), so everybody in the industry is trying to fill in the gaps. I would've been working in one of the stores close to the action this week if I wasn't on vacation. Current Employer has actually put up some of my coworkers in a hotel so they don't have to endure the commute! (For all I know I could be called when I return, but who knows how things will be then...)

ANYWAY, there is a TORNADO WARNING out for my general area :boggle: And I have to finish my entry. And do some minor shopping because there is absolutely nothing in the fridge except for juice and yogurt :erk:

My weekend was nice and relaxing, spent much of it pre-reading entries. There was also laundry, the baking of banana bread to bring to work today, and lots of computer games.

Hope you had fun Gary! Now it's back to the grindstone and all us competitors to drive you crazy.

I just looked and saw that 85 entries have been submitted, which seems really low to me, but maybe everyone is waiting for the last minute. I'm just glad I can go fix a typo in my entry now that I'm back to my laptop again, and the deadline still hasn't passed.

Work is making me a little whacko. It's after 4 pm and I still have no idea what court I'll be heading to tomorrow or for what reason.. just that I AM going somewhere..
