I said from the start of the season that there would be a point in mid-to-late July that we would pause for a commercial break.

Obviously, you don't have to give at all. Not going to impact anyone either positively or negatively within the game itself. But this is a commercial break, so there goes that hat! All proceeds go toward my wedding fund! :) (some people have a second job, I'm already working one!)

Another good way to give back, in a non-financial way, is to spread the word about Idol to the masses, and continue to create a supportive environment around here. (Until of course I hunt you down and eliminate all of you, except one!)

As for "What is going to be happening?" I had a lot of options.

The one that I am going with though is to proceed to Week 15, but give you an extended deadline.

The new topic will be posted tomorrow.

I may have limited access over the next week. I'll still be popping in - but my assistant is coming out of the shadows and will be posting Green Rooms/keeping this madhouse in line/banning people left and right. (for those who don't remember kithan or never met her, her wanting to ban everyone to end the season earlier is a running joke. Or rather "joke". :D)

So be nice to her!

Going home for the first time in 4 years (and it was over two decades before that!) I'm actually getting that "Bringing someone to see where you are from" moment for the first time.

I'll be back the following Saturday. I'll still have internet access. But not bringing my laptop.

We're starting our trip in Columbus, going to Sandusky and then over to where I'm from.

I think this is the most anyone excited anyone has EVER gotten about a trip to Ohio! ;)

A certain now-11 year old spends a lot of her free time on Youtube looking up POV videos of rollercoasters. When the idea of Ohio came up, "Can we go to Cedar Point?" was one of the first questions.

I've actually never been. Then again, when it comes to coasters I'm a world-class chicken. So I imagine my time there will be spent holding things and staring up from the safety of the ground!

It's been a good seven years since I've been there, but there are other interesting things to do besides roller coasters! I always enjoyed the caricature artists, and the water rides are less like roller coasters and more like a nice way to cool off! I dunno if you're a shopping kinda guy, but I also loved the "shopping strip" area. Every year I got a miniature tea set to add to my collection. There was a whole area that sold leather goods too and blown glass- you can actually watch the artisans craft new items at certain times of the day. XD

I remember decent food too, and themed restaurants - a Western styled saloon and a fifties diner were my favorites. You could do what my parents did one year and get a period costume portrait taken that comes with a marriage certificate - kinda cute since you're getting married soon :)
