Hello Everybodeee!

"The Monster at the End of the Green Room"

That was a very dull sentence. What's in the next sentence?

WHAT DID THAT SAY?

On that previous sentence, what did that say? Did it say that there will be a MONSTER at the end of this Green Room?

IT DID! I am so scared of MONSTERS!!

SHHHH Listen. I have an idea. If you do not read any more sentences, we will never get to the end of the Green Room.

And that is good, because there is a MONSTER at the end of this Green Room.

(so please do not read any more sentences)

Maybe you do not understand. You see, reading sentences will bring us to the end of this Green Room, and there is a MONSTER at the end of this Green Room...

But this will stop you from reading sentences. See, I am tying the internet together with this rope, so you cannot...

YOU READ ANOTHER SENTENCE!

You do not know what you are doing to me!

NOW

STOP READING SENTENCES!

THERE, I [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm am nailing this section of the post to the next one so that you will not be able to move forward, and we will not get any closer to the Monster at the end of this Green Room.

ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT

Do you know that every time you read another sentence... you not only get us closer to the Monster at the end of this Green Room but you make a terrible mess

THIS will stop you from reading sentences! A heavy, thick, solid, strong brick wall. I would like to see you TRY to read another sentence!

(do you know you are very strong?)

The next paragraph is the end of this Green Room, and there is a MONSTER at the end of this Green Room! Oh, I am so SCARED! PLEASE do not read anymore! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Well, look at that! This is the end of the Green Room, and the only one here is

ME!

I, [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm, am the Monster at the end of this Green Room!

*DEVOURS YOU ALL*

So....Gary is Grover? Or is Grover really Gary?

Which gets even more troubling when you realize Grover is also Yoda.

Okay, now my head REALLY hurts.

**BURRRRRP!!**

Excuse me!

You're so cute sometimes, Gary! =D

Hubby and I went to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (is it just me, or are there too many "of the" in that title??) at the drive-in this weekend. It was good except that there was a Full Moon out, which made the screen look not quite dark enough (not enough contrast), as many of the scenes are night scenes, and the apes are mostly black, so yeah... we didn't think that one through very well, LOL. But it was still a good movie, overall I'd give it a B+.

Ro, I think that is my favorite icon of yours, it's just so cute I find myself staring at it and wanting to reach through the screen to bop it's nose.

aww kitten...

It's unbearably hot and humid here. There are "severe thunderstorms with threats of flash flooding" still approaching. They were supposed to be here last night. If you go outside right now there is absolutely no clue they're approaching :shields eyes against blinding sunlight:

I took Max for a short walk anyway. I thought I was going to die midway through it. He was fine. Silly husky dog! I think we're going to send him to New PlayDay Care Place for his second evaluation. They have A/C and canine playmates for him :)

In the meantime I'm hoping my brain doesn't melt. I've got the A/C on full blast and I still can't quite feel it :p

I heard this whole entry in the voice of my loveable, furry old pal... Gary?

My parents still have a copy of this book on their shelf - it was always one of my favorites. They also still have Sesame Street and Electric Company soundtracks on LP.

Aww, I love The Monster at the End of This Book. I knew my current partner was "the one" when he read it out loud to me (and did the voices!) after he found out that no one had read it to me as a wee one. :)

For those that didn't get eaten by Gary and/or haven't seen it, I've got a rec post up here (http://kickthehobbit.livejournal.com/670781.html). :)

I loved the sesame street books more than the actual show tbh. Oh oh oh but does anybody else remember Follow That Bird?!? I probably wore that VHS out.

This is a book my son will NOT let me read to him. I don't know if it's because of my poor impersonation of Grover or what, but he just WILL NOT LET ME FINISH the book. He takes it from me and slams it shut and hides the book. ;)

It's actually super adorable but I don't have the book with me at my current location. Sigh.

Ha! Sesame Street debuted in 1970. We didn't have TV but I was allowed to watch it at the neighbours. The book was a staple on our bookshelf for the kids, my autistic child was frightened by it, but it was loved and read here by/for the other small.

:)

I've been using this app to go running lately that constantly preys on my fear of monsters. It's called "Zombies, run!" and it plays out like an interactive audio book, alternating between audio clips from the app and music from your playlists. It puts you smack in the middle of the zombie apocalypse and you show up into this township after being shot down in your helicopter by a rocket launcher. Anyways, you listen to the whole story play out being addressed the whole time as "Runner Five," and every run you go on is another "mission." On top of that, you can have the option to turn on zombie chases, wherein hordes of zombies will "chase" you at random while your music is playing, and if you don't quicken your pace you'll get eaten. A little warning will go off while you're running saying that zombies are close by and so you have to run faster and faster as it tells you they are getting closer.

I'm never going running without it again.

Ohmygosh I need this in my life! I think it would actually make me want to run. I live in San Francisco which makes it hard to get motivated to run because of all the hills.I have such an active imagination anyway this would get me in the zone.

The first rule of the zombie'pocalypse is cardio.
