I just have to say, that article was awesome and just so true. I'm in the middle of a divorce and I get soooo much attitude from others about how, among other things, if I can't "afford" to get divorced and to have 3 kids, then I should just stay in this very bad..circumstance.

And it's..anyways, the judgments of others are unfair, in so many ways.

I'm in the middle of a divorce myself and have only one child. Thing is, prior to our actual separation I bought a brand new car.

Because I knew I needed a reliable vehicle that wouldn't crap out on me so I could keep going to and from work. Yes, it's an extra payment. But I NEED the job more and need to be able to GET to said job, y'know?

But when I go to apply for food stamps and assistance and the like, I'm sure I'm going to get a bunch of dirty looks because of everything notodette had mentioned in her article.

And I've gotten the, "She needs to xyz if she's going to get out instead of begging for help," line, too. Sorry? I am doing what I can to get out instead of just "staying" in an abusive situation. Because getting out is oh so easy, y'know?

In other news there is a goodbye party going on for a worker on a different team than mine who got a promotion and is moving to a different county. This means free yummy pizza for lunch - woot! Not much else exciting today... I guess that's a good thing?
