And if anyone missed it, I wrote an entry (http://welfy.livejournal.com/2418356.html) on terror, too.

As for whose entries I have been enjoying, I am going to post a list in my journal at the time of the vote. A couple of them really, REALLY touched me and they got soul-baring comments.
[ok, and I was lazy with a couple more that I really liked and just said "good"]
No plans this weekend. Blues has to work, and I have to clean. Kids coming next week.

Date: 2007-11-16 01:36 pm (UTC)Fridays are always amazingly busy for me - Life Group in the morning, the Mat in the evening, errands in between, and tonight I need to get to sleep early. Critter has another speech tournament tomorrow, and these things start darned early. I'll be judging and just watching, with maybe some knitting thrown in for good measure.
Sunday brings church, where Pete will be teaching about Joshua in our Heroes series, and then I get to play with 2-year-olds. Or it might be there other way 'round. No special plans after church, except I've many half-started, unfinished tasks around the house to occupy myself.
Don't forget to check out my Color Swap! (http://minikin.livejournal.com/586866.html)

Date: 2007-11-16 02:04 pm (UTC)Then I have to sit through an hour and a half of meetings (one of which I shouldn't have to be in anyway).
All this time, I'm going to be stressing about the WHOLE REST OF THE DAY. I have to go to a customer location and help with a contextual design interview where we go watch someone for two hours take a metric fuckton of notes and ask them questions about what they're doing if they skipped any steps, etc. I'm scared as hell, since I'm not a designer and this isn't in my job description, and there's a reason I work as a tester not support. I guess if I worked in support or design it wouldn't bother me, but OMG, I'm not qualified for this.
AND on top of that it's about audit steps and I am going to have NFI what they're talking about, because I've got a THEATRE degree and absolutely zero accounting experience.
Fun times.
Oh yeah, and I'm going to be on the road when the poll is posted, so I won't get to even think about posting that the voting is open or voting until like 7:00 tonight.
*cry*

Date: 2007-11-16 02:04 pm (UTC)This has been a powerful week for some gut wrenching entries.
I still have a couple to read.
This weekend my husband is off to the Big Apple Con in New York to do a panel or two and probably sign some autographs. So I get bowling duty since the 16 year-old is very involved in bowling and has two tourneys this weekend.

Date: 2007-11-16 02:16 pm (UTC)Right NOW though I'm contemplating if I want to switch between my written entry (http://lordrexfear.livejournal.com/733313.html) and the entry I wrote/posted photos about the artist NECK FACE entry (http://lordrexfear.livejournal.com/733059.html) as the actual entry for LJ Idol. Suggestions?
I get a sneaking suspicion I can be gone this week... unless all these byes somehow save for another week.
My hand is also still swollen and it really hurts to type after abit.

Date: 2007-11-16 02:16 pm (UTC)Mornin' everybody!
Gotta do some major shopping today. We literally have no food in the house. Plus as much as I don't want to spend the $, I have to get new tires for the Jeep. Both front tires shimmied when hubby tried turning a corner yesterday :o
Tomorrow we're taking The Kidz to a sled dog demonstration on the other side of town. If you have a husky or malamute, you're encouraged to bring them and let them try out a sled. I have the feeling Jack's going to have the time of his life!
Oh, and musn't forget the wallpaper stripping *rolls eyes* When I'm not doing the above, I'll be here trying to finish reading everyone's entries.
Good Luck Everyone!

Date: 2007-11-16 02:33 pm (UTC)Weekend plans?? Try to not jump off the deep end I was make some made attempts to get my portfolio finalized for class tomorrow. If I get things done today during work/and tonight then hopefully go see Beowulf at a late but not to late show. Class from 8am to 3:30pm tomorrow (*shakes* in boots, I am so not looking forward to it). After class I will have a few hours to myself then go pick up the parents from the airport, drive them all the way home and then turn around and drive myself all the way home because my brother can't pick them up as he lost his license and my sister couldn't get out of work.
As for Sunday, no real plans but probably hitting the books pretty hard as we are down to like a month before this semester is over so I need to get my ducks in a row.
I have really liked a lot of the entries I have read. There is some talented people in this bunch. Good to luck to everyone:)
Back to work I go.

Date: 2007-11-16 02:40 pm (UTC)The weekend? KNITTING! I love knitting group -- five hours of gossip with likeminded non-mundane female friends. We blather on about Dr. Who or Torchwood or more risque topics (which my daughter ignores... ALL of them...) and it's just a nice break. Other than that, not much planned other than cleaning and gaming (I like my online gaming).
I'm just soooo freakin' glad it's Friday and I can get OUT of this place at 5pm!!!

Date: 2007-11-16 02:45 pm (UTC)I am now taking the bus (Grrr!) with lots of paraphernalia to go take photos and study at the Library, which because of a strike is barely open. I can't take my car because it costs too much...
I've tried to read as many entries as I could, but since my priorities are woefully in order, I'll be reading most of them long after the vote - in December. Sorry, guys. I love ya'll!
I will be glad if I continue to make it to when there's about half this many people so I can properly read the entries.
