I'm nervous/exciting/pretty much sitting here going "OMG we just had our first elimination and there's already a run-off!"

Oh, I like the Week 2 Topic MUCH better than Week 1. I can talk about shit that scares me for HOURS.

incidentally, I didn't think I really gave a damn about doing the lj idol thing, that it might just be kindof fun and whatever happens, happens- no worries.

somehow I instead spontaneously became somewhat competitive and randomly harassed people about how they should vote for me.

I expect, even though I did it jokingly, it isn't really a good thing.

The approach that immediately jumped into my mind is one that will urge me to make my entry intensely personal. By no means am I afraid of revealing too much of myself or getting too serious this early in the competition, but it leaves me with a bit of trepidation that I am leaning towards revealing something about myself that only one or two of my closest friends even know. This should be interesting.

I'm relieved. I made it to round two!

But I'm weary, too. I don't know if I have to work my other job today. So when I go into work at 4:30, then I'll know if I have to stay and work. If I'm off, then I am so going home and doing laundry. (Cuz I'm out and didn't have time on Saturday because the baby shower that I went to lasted FOUR HOURS. Too many games, too many gifts, too many people...)

I spent a good little while debating whether or not I should take a bye for this round and reserve my neurotic worrying about my topics for next week, but in the end I just took a deep breath and jumped in with both feet. I wrote up the entry in the way that I felt it, and have decided to leave it in the hands of others how they react to it. I can only do my part, I can't force anyone to think or feel what I hope for them to. Hopefully if they're uncertain about my entry they will provide questions that will grant me the ability for discourse, but if not so be it. I have a strong enough sense of myself that I know I have done what I can.
