I'm conducting an experiment in procrastination -- how far will one human go to avoid sitting down and writing? I expect a significant contribution to the unpublished literature on the subject. Today's experiment includes lots of work in the yard.

I actually really needed that extra time this week. Divorcing Parents seminars are eating up my Saturday morning writing times, and I had to restart my entry once already. (It wasn't really working in second person.) Writing it is taking me a surprisingly long time, but I have off until Friday night, so in theory I SHOULD be able to finish this in time. In theory.

Nothing since I'm not a contestant and I'm working on my Big Bang and online class homework now.

However, can I have some audience input? I'm planning on focusing on original work starting in July with Camp NaNo. I have a poll up over here (http://brides-koneko.livejournal.com/46983.html) (safe for work-ish but references some significant adult content and triggers/squicks). The poll's on honor code, so only vote once. It's also going to be open until June 30th.

Whatever's second place is going to be NaNo 2014 and so on and so forth. So yes eventually all of these universes will be written in. :)

lol I always post at the last minute. It's why I'm in journalism. My brain works better under pressure.

And for some reason I'm having such a hard time with this topic. Maybe something will snap into place in the next day or so.

I work best under pressure, too. But Idol has always been that project that I never procrastinated with. =p

I didn't necessarily have a hard time thinking of an idea for the topic, but I'm having a hard time justifying the actual piece itself. And how I have the topic layered in more than one way and how I'm terrified most readers won't notice that, lol. But we'll see what happens!

I'm trying to figure out how I want to spend the extra $100 my aunt gave me for graduation this past weekend - "you have to spend it on something fun, no bills!" she said. I'm thinking of putting it towards a new laptop, a fun day out in NYC, or something splurge-y for the hypothetical apartment. I'm also ruminating on the topic, which I think I've got figure out - tomorrow and Thursday are my weekend, so I'm going to tuck into the writing tomorrow.

I have an entry written but I'm letting it percolate a little longer, I'd like the ending to have a little more snap and haven't found it yet.

Otherwise I'm at work, checking the weather for Denver where I'll be this weekend for EGaD. It's an extended group of friends who try to get together at least once a year (with kids and locational differences it gets harder to pull this off) for Eating, Gaming, and Drinking. My husband is already sorting our board games and I'm wondering if we'll need to check a bag.

I'm probably taking my final bye this week, as the extra time has just involved me continuing to lack ideas. And time, really. Chores and helping a friend move don't help with writing. Thankfully, my friend will be fully moved this Friday! Life will be so much easier then, in part because she'll be living down the street from me. (This will literally be the farthest apart we've lived anytime we've been in the same state in the last ten years.)

Hello GR!

I'm hoping to be ale t come up with an idea sometime...soon? My mind keeps saying "Yes, but..." instead of "Yes, and", for some reason, so I'm fighting with that a bit.

In other news, I'm currently in hell week for our show that opens Friday night. In rehearsal from noon until 11 Sunday, from 7-11 last night again tonight, and then a dress rehearsal tomorrow... plus of course work every day. I tired.

In OTHER other news, I woke up yesterday with my eyes plastered shut. Fortunately I was able to book an emergency appointment with my doctor and she told me I had what I guess would be called a double double eye infection. Bacterial AND viral, in both eyes. Joy. I've been on antibiotics, and it's already starting to clear up, thank goodness. Hopefully I'll feel 100% by Friday...

I'm trying to get my head in shape to do a job application/interview. I was actually scheduled for this morning but had to ask to reschedule due to Spouse being ill all night (so I got no sleep!)

I really want to kill at this interview, it's a job unlike any other i've had before and I KNOW I want to know lots more about the program, I'm just hoping I didn't kill all my chances by cancelling out on them with only three hours notice.
