Sorry I've been a little absent on you guys during the past few days. My brain's been a little unfriendly to me, to the tune of me just wanting to stay in bed all day with a jar of Nutella and The L Word. Feeling a bit better today (or at least forcing myself to feel better, which maybe is the same thing). Going out for lunch with a coworker either today or tomorrow, and I have a proper weekend for the first time in about six weeks! Planning on spending lots of time with Sam the SO, cooking, going out for brunch, soldering and catching up on the week's TV. I also have a movie date with him wherein we shall finish The Shining, so your picture doesn't scare me none, Gary. Those twins do, though!

Question: Did anyone else immediately think of Harry Potter upon reading the topic? Remember that missing step they always had to jump on one of the staircases? No, just me?

I'm doing the "Hip Hop Hustle" class at the gym after work today. I may work a few hours of overtime on Saturday afternoon. Hubby and I will finally be going to see The Lego Movie late Saturday afternoon, and at some point I will figure out what in the heck to write for the new topic. I have a few ideas percolating in the way-back part of my brain... we'll see what bubbles to the surface!

And oh yeah - I *finally* completed the Longest Damn Week of my life, second only to Bill Murray's "Groundhog Day," LOL. It took about 18 months to go from 99 to 100. Phew!!

And for the rest of you... HELLO! I made it! I'm sad my tribe had a sacrifice, but it's better if someone wants to leave than someone getting voted out (which was nearly me so now I have some serious thinking to do with this new topic).

I'm just sitting around right now waiting for my teacher to finish talking to people in class and figure out why there's a major scaling issue with my model... Ho hum. Someone talk to me and entertain me. Or both! ;)

I'm in better spirits this morning. Not as weak, not as tired, and I *think* the nausea is gone. SO is cooking up a batch of matzoh brei and I'm ready to chow it all down by myself. (But I know I have to share and go slowly since my stomach is empty empty empty).

I am going to the Night Vale live show in Chicago tomorrow night eeeeeeeee it's going to be great! I might be a tiny little bit excited.

I'm going with a big group of friends, and I only know two of them... and only one of them well... and she won't be in the car I'm in for the drive down or back... so that's got me a bit on edge. But, eh, I'll have a book, and everyone knows I'm shy. It'll be fine.

Like most of Gary's topics, I had to google them to get what the phrase meant, and most of the results I found dealt with rapists. Then I was like "seriously Gary... -____-;", but upon further examination, I discovered this phrase doesn't necessarily HAVE to be about rapists but can be viewed as kind of a "pink elephant" type of thing. Well that's good to know! lol

This weekend is another fun time of Battle Star Galactic the board game! WOOO. I'm so obsessed with this game. And hopefully enjoying some nice weather for once. Sadly BSG has been scheduled on the warmest day, but Sunday should be nice enough to head outdoors too... yay!
